Development of Eco-Friendly Method for Degumming of Eri Cocoons DOI Creative Commons

In this study, a new eco-friendly degumming technique was developed for Eri cocoons without any chemicals. A newly eco-Eri process tried at 110 °C, 120 130 °C and 140 temperatures 10, 20 30 min with soft hard water. The novel method compared the existing of viz. Soap-soda along enzymatic method. After degumming, weight loss per cent, changes in fibre surface morphology concerning SEM imaging properties tensile strength elongation were studied. using water removed maximum sericin content (degumming 15.7%) from cocoon shells had optimum efficiency. method, degummed uniformly softened. soap soda resulted 14.5% whereas 13% (12% dosage). Enzymatic significantly reduced but no results found silk fibres observed soap-soda methods. images indicated optimal smoother until damage fibrillation occurred also An condition is better to other methods used presently industry.

The present study examines the impacts of saponin, extracted from fruits Acacia Concinna, in its effectiveness as a dispersant and stabilizer during pipeline conveyance iron ore particles. basic fundamental characteristics ore, which comprises majority hematite has size (≤75 µm), have been examined characterized.
