An outstanding adsorbent, such as the metal–organic framework (MOF) MIL-101 (Cr), was employed to study adsorption of two dyes, namely reactive red 2 (RR2) and blue 19 (RB19). Experimental data were retrieved at T = 25, 35 45 °C analyzed define mechanism these dyes. A modeling approach based on a double-layer model derived from statistical physics used. The maximum capacity (MAC) found be 875, 954 1002 mg/g for RR2 971, 1093 1148 RB19, °C, respectively. These values indicate that (Cr) exhibits performance in removing potential water pollutants RB19 possible orientations dyes upon determined by analyzing number dye molecules bound per active sites during process. It removed via mixed parallel non-parallel orientation while an inclined higher temperatures. suggested site density reduced due exothermic effect, which decreases participating adsorption, even though reduction may attributed overall endothermic behavior. From energy (AE) chemical structure both it concluded hydrogen bonds, Van der Waals forces π-π stacking are involved removal This research provides new physical insights into relevant adsorbent MOF.
