A crisis in mental health is seen the escalation of psychological difficulties among university students at a time their life when they are experiencing increased challenges dealing with identity concerns. In this study, we examined alignment psychiatric symptoms developmental psychopathology to clarify associations between these diverse approaches students’ health. The focus on severity conjunction categorized terms distress. Identity distress refers experience extreme uncertainty and dysfunction related personal issues that critical during lifespan. Counseling Center Assessment Psychological Symptoms (CCAPS-34) was used assess clinical diagnoses, while Distress Scale measured upset issues. outcome measure evaluated scholastic, interpersonal, affective functioning university. Participants included 1,704 from Canada, Spain, Ecuador (with median age 19 years). Taken together, 20.8% sample classified distress, 36% moderate severe problems, 64% were as flourishing, meaning experienced neither nor serious difficulties. Despite differences countries, predicted symptom relation supported associated adjustment findings underscore importance addressing disturbances diagnosis meet functional needs students. need for culturally sensitive interventions research emphasized.
