This study presents an innovative approach to enhancing biogas production through the anaerobic digestion of Nanjing Jiangnan Wastewater Treatment Plant (NJWTP). Utilizing data-driven modeling and optimization methods, research focuses on improving sustainability cost-effectiveness waste-to-energy conversion processes. The core involves comparison three distinct models: Deep Belief Network (DBN), DBN with Osprey Optimization Algorithm (DBN-OOA), Boosted (DBN-BOOA). In total, 180 data points were gathered from 2016 2018 for purpose current study. Among models evaluated, (DBN) coupled (BOOA) emerged as superior method, demonstrating high accuracy capabilities. DBN-BOOA model achieved remarkable performance metrics, including a correlation coefficient (R) 0.98, root mean square error (RMSE) 0.41 m³/min, index agreement (IA) 0.99, significantly outperforming standalone DBN-OOA models. Furthermore, identified optimal operational parameters that maximized 31.35 surpassing outputs other method's success is attributed its robust algorithm, which efficiently navigates diverse search space locate global optimum without necessitating input variable pre-processing. Consequently, offers practical user-friendly solution MWTP operators, enabling real-time adjustments increased yields reduced sludge production.
