Wetland birds are undergoing severe population declines globally, primarily attributed to extensive wetland loss and degradation. The attributes of the landscape surrounding a focal locality, referred as ‘landscape context’, have been shown influence diversity living in given area. At global scale, however, context effects on not assessed. Here, we assessed effect richness threatened bird species recorded 334 inland Ramsar sites across globe. Generalized linear mixed models were used quantify relationship between these sites. Variation partitioning was independent explanatory power for comparison migratory non-migratory species. overall global-scale pattern avifauna reached ca. 17% 3%, respectively, with scale peak being 5 times area site. significantly higher (ca. 30%) than ones 3%). Among metrics, habitat fragmentation most strongly associated migrant at Our results suggest that even macroecological scales, contributes shaping species, especially migrants. These findings provide useful insight managing landscapes sites, order improve conservation effectiveness worldwide.

As one form of urban green infrastructure, city parks provide essential ecosystem services and serve as a vital link connecting citizens with natural ecosystems. The public, the primary beneficiaries park services, plays crucial role in guiding improvement development trends planning. Most existing studies assess comprehensive value spaces from macro scale, few focusing on cultural regulatory public perception these at level. This study targets 11 typical Luoyang City, collecting 771 samples through field mapping surveys. It analyzes users’ socio-demographic characteristics, abilities, usage preferences, service satisfaction, linking subjective factors objective elements environment, such fitness recreational facilities. results indicate that respondents knowledge are better able to evaluate understand air pollution reduction noise parks, while those without tend focus more they can intuitively perceive, biodiversity conservation microclimate regulation. Additionally, middle-income group exhibits higher level awareness which depends their active social participation. findings this suggest enhancing understanding environmental education is key improving quality

Exploring the factors that drive changes in biodiversity is a hot and critically important topic landscape ecology biogeography. In this study, semi-structured citizen science data bird distribution maps were employed to gather from 2015 2020 for calculation of species richness, Shannon index, Pielou index Anhui Province. These metrics utilized assess avian elucidate spatial patterns across region. research, structural equation model (SEM) was investigate relationships between three dimensions structure, urban development intensity, environmental on biodiversity, conceptual framework established identify key driving factors. The validity, reliability, fit hypothesized substantiated through rigorous testing, demonstrating its reasonableness. results indicate following: (1) composition configuration play crucial roles influencing diversity. An increased proportion cultivated land negatively impacts diversity, whereas expansion forested areas promotes it. At level, Largest Patch Index (LPI) significantly enhances serving as primary force. Landscape structure affects diversity both directly, composition, indirectly, configuration. (2) dimension intensity generally shows significant negative impacts; among these, GDP has greatest comprehensive impact impact. (3) Topography overall factors, with predominantly direct positive effect. (4) Overall, are main forces Province, which effect intensity. provide an scientific basis planning ecological protection inspiration assessing animal plant other regions.
