Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a common cause of acute kidney (AKI) in the aging population. Gender studies show that associated with loss protection from AKI female While ER stress contributes to IRI-induced young, regulation during IR aged unclear. Because current evidence suggests hydrogen sulfide (H2S) modulates stress, we investigated whether exogenous supplementation diallyl trisulfide (DATS), an H2S donor, mitigates kidneys. Wild-type (WT, C57BL/6J) mice 75–78 weeks were treated or without DATS before and after renal IRI. IRI increased proteins, inflammation, fibrosis markers compared control. mitigated reduced inflammation kidney. Further, kidneys demonstrated blood flow, vascularity, angiogenesis, resistive index (RI), function. treatment upregulated PI3K, AKT, p-mTOR, pMAPK signaling stimulate which improved vascular density, Together, our results suggest rescues by modulating upregulation angiogenesis.
