Harnessing artificial intelligence and remote sensing in climate-smart agriculture: the current strategies needed for enhancing global food security

Global
food
security
is
seriously
threatened
by
climate
change,
which
calls
for
creative
agricultural
solutions.
However,
little
known
about
how
different
smart
technologies
are
integrated
to
enhance
security.
As
a
strategic
reaction
these
difficulties,
this
review
investigates
the
incorporation
of
remote
sensing
(RS)
as
well
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
into
climate-smart
agriculture
(CSA).
This
demonstrates
advances
can
improve
resilience,
productivity,
and
sustainability
utilizing
AI's
capacity
predictive
analytics,
crop
modelling,
precision
agriculture,
along
with
RS's
strengths
in
projections,
land
management,
continuous
surveillance.
Several
important
tactics
were
covered,
such
combining
AI
RS
regulate
risks,
maximize
resource
utilization,
practice
choices.
The
also
discusses
issues
like
policy
frameworks,
building,
accessibility
that
prevent
from
being
widely
adopted.

ABSTRACT
Agriculture
plays
an
important
part
in
the
overall
growth
and
development
of
a
nation.
Concerns
about
agriculture
continue
to
be
recalcitrant
obstacle
path
upward
movement.
Although
agricultural
yields
are
increased,
however,
low‐
middle‐income
countries
still
have
difficulty
producing
all
required
foods
with
current
state
technology.
Smart
is
becoming
increasingly
farmers
as
means
ensuring
optimal
field
higher
crop
yield.
This
systematic
study
analysed
briefly
explained
effects
using
smart
techniques
(SATs)
from
variety
countries,
including
China,
United
States
America,
Australia,
India,
Philippine
Islands,
South
Africa,
Pakistan
Iran,
among
others.
Increased
climatic
change
resulting
abiotic
stress
other
harmful
on
plants
resulted
decreased
productivity
under
traditional
practices.
Stats
literature
shown
that
launching
SATs
has
significant
increase
cotton–wheat
rice–wheat
yields,
resultantly
increased
incomes
farmers.
Application
SATs,
satellite
remote
sensing,
drones,
machine
learning
image
processing,
monitoring,
wireless
sensor
networks,
IoT–based
robotics,
precision
agroforestry
could
extremely
useful
developing
intelligent
systems
underdeveloped
improved
plant
growth,
high
yield
food
security.
These
technologies
help
by
storing
additional
water,
spraying
pesticides
practicing
employing
sensors
for
assessing
different
environmental
parameters.
By
making
efficient
use
these
technologies,
able
their
crops,
which,
turn,
will
contribute
reduction
poverty
elimination
insecurity.
