To achieve this, two datasets were merged analyzed: one from a panel annual assessments comprising 12,116 measurement points 5491 cooperative students Germany, other survey lecturers 22 different departments, using three-level growth curve modeling. The results decline over program discipline gender explained However, lecturers’ attitude success was not related their These findings confirmed importance developing programs for keep high.

Purpose This study aims to examine the influence of person–environment fit on decent work expectations and mediating role career preparedness in relationship between expectations. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modeling analysis was used relationships based 356 economically disadvantaged college students (M age = 20.3 years, SD 1.27, 71.9% female) from several Chinese universities. Findings The result confirmed that significantly influenced directly indirectly through preparedness. A new contextual support (i.e. fit) identified outcome learning mechanism underlying effect this predictor. Originality/value contributes literature by addressing gaps within social cognitive model self-management, specifically exploring under-researched as a key antecedent By doing so, it expands understanding how alignment individual attributes environments influences outcomes. Additionally, establishes comprehensive framework integrates fit, expectations, providing novel perspective for future research practical applications development.

The existing body research provides evidence that identity influences behavior. However, such often over-generalised and researchers challenged conduct robust analyses with regard specific local, cultural educational factors. present study aims investigate whether personal or social has a distinct effect on three different dimensions behavior, using principles self-categorisation theory. Additionally, seeks determine one these two factors, individual factor, predominant over other. group consisted cooperative students in Germany, typically high professional ambitions. data was collected cross-sectional survey total 568 from academic disciplines engineering economics. reliability scales satisfactory (ω = 0.76–0.88), hypotheses tested by estimating structural equation models. Our demonstrates while exerts stronger influence activist than identity, more pronounced consumer identity. Nevertheless, no general statement can be made regarding relative strength effects dimensions.
