Purpose: Methotrexate (MTX) is an antineoplastic agent with a wide clinical use. However, its complications in tissues cause limitations. The effects of many compounds have been studied reducing the toxicity MTX liver tissue. There are limited studies on elimination this damage morin hydrate (MH) flavonoid. In study, we investigated effect MH MTX-induced hepatoxicity focus oxidative stress. Materials and Methods: experiment, 32 female rats were grouped as Control, MTX, MH, MTX+MH (n=8). On first day 20 mg/kg single dose was administered ip. 100 by gavage for 10 days. 11th day, biochemical histopathological analyses performed from rats. All data presented statistical comparison. Results: Serum AST, ALT LDH levels highest group lower group. increased glutathione peroxidase (GPX), reduced (GSH) total antioxidant capacity (TAC) levels, but had no regulatory superoxide dismutase (SOD) level. Additionally, significantly lowered malondialdehyde (MDA) oxidant (TOC). Histopathological findings included inflammation, congestion, degeneration, mononuclear cell clusters dead cells.
