At present, many neuron models have been proposed, which can be divided into discrete and continuous models. Discrete the advantage of faster simulation speed ease understanding complex dynamic phenomena. Due to properties memorability, nonvolatility, local activity, locally active memristors (LADMs) are also suitable for simulating synapses. In this paper, we use an LADM mimic synapses establish a Rulkov neural network model. It is found that change coupling strength initial state leads multiple firing patterns network. addition, considering influence parameters LADM, numerical analysis methods such as phase diagram timing used study synchronization. As system states change, coupled exhibits synchronization transition coexistence.

Abstract With its complex nonlinear dynamic behavior, the tristable system has shown excellent performance in areas such as energy harvesting and vibration suppression, attracted a lot of attention. In this paper, an asymmetric design is proposed to improve suppression efficiency sinks (NESs) for first time. The NES (ATNES) composed pair oblique springs vertical spring. Then, three stable states, symmetric asymmetric, can be achieved by adjustment distance stiffness asymmetry springs. governing equations linear oscillator (LO) coupled with ATNES are derived. approximate analytical solution obtained harmonic balance method (HBM) verified numerically. types compared. results show that reduction through comparing chaotic motion between steady states. addition, compared symmetrical (TNES), effectively control smaller structural vibrations. other words, solve threshold problem TNES failure weak excitation. Therefore, paper reveals mechanism ATNES, provides pathway expand effective excitation amplitude range NES.
