Abstract The study of consciousness is gaining importance in both neuroscience and the development Artificial Intelligence (AI). We show here that an advanced White Matter (WM) tractography method, termed gridography, can explore potential integration two prominent theories consciousness: Global Workspace Theory (GWT) Integrated Information (IIT). Using gridography on high-resolution diffusion MRI data from Human Connectome Project, we demonstrate accurately map WM connections between anterior brain regions associated with GWT posterior linked to IIT. evaluate how experimental aligns physiological structures implicated by analyzing: i. current status consciousness-related locations; ii. necessary for transmitting information; iii. characteristics identify connections. Our findings suggest these connections, particularly those Superior Longitudinal Fasciculus (SLF), support a unified model integrating aspects primarily epistemic ontic This proposes novel framework could reconcile existing theoretical divisions

A multicomplex structure is defined from an ordered lattice of multigraphs. This will help us to observe the features persistent homology in this context, its interaction with ordering, and repercussions merging multigraphs calculation Betti numbers. For latter, extended version incremental algorithm provided. The ideas developed here are mainly oriented original example described by author others context formalization notion embodiment Neuroscience.

In the search for a sound model of consciousness, we aim at introducing new concepts: closure, compositionality, biobranes and autobranes. This is important to overcome reductionism bring life back into neuroscience consciousness. Using these definitions, conjecture that consciousness co-arises with non-trivial composition biological closure in form autobranes: conscious processes generate closed activity various levels are, turn, themselves, supported by approach leads non-reductionist simultaneously phenomenological theory experience, giving perspectives science Future works will implement experimental definitions computational simulations characterize dynamical interacting.
