Using patient reported-outcome measures (PROMs) in routine care has significant potential to benefit patients with cancer, but it is unclear how widely they are used practice. We conducted a cross-sectional survey (November 2023-April 2024) among healthcare professionals (HCPs) the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). Descriptive statistics chi-square tests assessed PROM use patterns, regional differences, barriers. Binary regression models compared barriers between users non-users. Of 3733 EORTC members contacted, 784 responded (21 % response rate), predominantly physicians. Among HCPs (50 women), 338 (43 %) did not PROMs, 214 (27 were occasional users, 232 (30 PROMs regularly. was significantly higher Western Europe than Central/Eastern Europe. primarily monitoring health status enhancing communication. highest treating bone, soft tissue, genito-urinary, gynecological cancers, lowest lung cancer. Abstract Chronic hypoparathyroidism is a rare disease associated with an impaired quality of life. Recommendations suggest frequent monitoring life, but for French-speaking people, only generic scales are available despite the fact that chronic has specific symptoms and impact. The aim this study was to adapt validate French version Hypoparathyroid Patient Questionnaire 28 (HPQ28), already validated tool in patients living hypoparathyroidism, English German. HPQ28 translated back-translated from into French. Translations were harmonized original author. Assessment psychometric properties performed ComPaRe-Epi-Hypo e-cohort, nationwide cohort adult France. Internal consistency evaluated using Cronbach’s alpha. Dimensional validity studied confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Construct compared answers those EQ-5D-5L, EQ-5D-VAS, MYMPO2 instruments. Reliability by intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) test–retest within 2-wk interval. Between August 2023 2024, 183 completed HPQ28, EQ-5D, MYMOP2 scales. majority (92%) participants women, median[IQR] age 52[44;60]. Etiology neck surgery genetic abnormalities 82% 8% cases, respectively. good (Cronbach’s alpha 0.93, 95% CI 0.91 0.94). CFA found unidimensional structure questionnaire. showed positive (r = 0.64) negative correlations EQ-5D VAS −0.49) EQ-5D-5L −0.64) scores, as hypothesized. adequate, ICC 0.88 (95% 0.84 0.91). In conclusion, we adapted suffering hypoparathyroidism. It can therefore now be used both research clinical follow-up.

Abstract Purpose To systematically review qualitative studies on outcomes, needs, experiences, preferences, concerns and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) people surviving cancer in Europe the last decade. Methods Protocol registered ( https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO , ID575065). Inclusion criteria: with methods, constructs related to HRQoL, adults Europe. The search was conducted PubMed Scopus since 2013. Abstracts full text were revised, data extracted study risk bias assessed independently by two researchers. primary outcomes themes arising from each study. A thematic analysis stratified according objective undertaken grouping into categories. Results Of 18,256 articles identified, 43 fulfilled inclusion 16 a generic 27 specific objectives. Seven categories (57 themes) emerged focus: Clinical Management (n = 16), Symptoms Physical Function 5), Psychological 21), Social 18), HRQoL 3), Life Disruption 6), Individual Factors 1). 12 focused treatment care experiences stand out among those objectives, most fitting same seven Conclusions clearly showed predominance social psychological function domains over physical cancer, additionally identifying needs clinical management, such as information communication, relationship support professionals. Therefore, these aspects should be incorporated evaluation patient-centred initiatives for cancer. Limitations: only databases searched, European countries not represented.
