Purpose: This study explored the effects of bilateral varicocele on male semen quality in infertile men and molecular mechanisms involving ferroptosis, pyroptosis necroptosis signaling pathways. Methods: Totally, 20 healthy males 26 patients with receiving infertility treatment were enrolled. Semen samples collected. Basic parameters, acrosome integrity membrane integrity, mitochondrial potential (MMP) apoptosis rate compared. Levels reactive oxygen species (ROS), iron, glutathione (GSH), total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), and, Catalase (CAT), detected human seminal plasma. Relative mRNA expression Ca 2+ -independent phospholipases A2 beta ( iPLA 2β ), P53, Zinc finger E-box binding homeobox 1 ZEB1 ) GSH-dependent peroxidase 4 GPX4 evaluated. protein was determined for GPX4, receptor interacting serine/threonine kinase (RIPK1) 3 (RIPK3), as well markers Gasdermin E (GSDME) heat shock 90 (HSP 90). Results: The results revealed that group had significantly higher abnormalities (sperm progressive sperm motility) compared to control group. Meanwhile, group, GSH, T-SOD, CAT levels reduced p < 0.05). However, level ROS iron increased P53 , reduced. In addition, exposure activated ferroptosis-related signal RIPK1, RIPK3, GSDME HSP affected pathways related necrosis spermatozoa. Conclusion: Bilateral leads spermatozoa affects men.

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a highly prevalent condition among adult males, affecting up to 41% of men in Europe. It characterized by the association obesity, hypertension, and atherogenic dyslipidemia, which lead premature morbidity mortality due cardiovascular disease (CVD). Male infertility another common accounts for about 50% cases couple worldwide. Interestingly, male MetS shares several risk factors (e.g., smoking, ageing, physical inactivity, excessive alcohol consumption), leading reactive oxygen species (ROS) production increased oxidative stress (OS), resulting endothelial dysfunction altered semen quality. Thus, present narrative review aims discuss pathophysiological mechanisms link investigate latest available evidence on reproductive consequences MetS.

Metabolic syndrome (MS), a cluster of cardiometabolic disorders, and sexual dysfunction are two conditions that impact large proportion the general population. Although they can occur independently, frequently linked significantly affect people's quality life. In recent years, research has increasingly focused on importance diet, particularly Mediterranean diet (MD), in modulating function due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, vasodilatory properties. this narrative review, we examined relationship between MS both men women, with special emphasis MD's therapeutic efficacy improving dysfunction. men, MD been shown ameliorate erectile dysfunction, as well several sperm parameters, perhaps leading improved fertility. On other hand, adherence demonstrated partially recover dysfunctions such those related their menstrual cycle, menopause, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome. These favorable effects have sexes also among people affected by MS. However, more targeted studies needed validate these data for different dietary approaches well.

Abstract Objectives The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between male hormones and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in males. Methods Data from Fangchenggang Area Male Health Examination Survey (FAMHES) were used analyze hormone levels MAFLD patients controls. Univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses performed identify risk factors for MAFLD. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was assess diagnostic performance of Result A total 1578 individuals included, with 482 (30.54%) MAFLD, including 293 (18.57%) mild 189 (11.98%) moderate-to-severe disease. significantly older than those without LH, FSH, SHBG greater control group. Age, SHBG, estradiol all LH FSH an independent factor showed excellent value, AUC 0.992 alone 0.996 after adjusting age. Conclusions Our findings indicate that may be a potential predictive biomarker

There are limited data on the effects of a high-fructose diet female reproductive system. Although metformin has some functional fertility, its outcome high fructose diet-induced metabolic syndrome is unclear. The aim present study to evaluate impact histomorphological and molecular parameters organs vaginal microbiota as well treatment potential metformin. Wistar albino rats were used in study. model was induced by for 15 weeks. Metformin orally administered once day last 6 increased blood glucose, triglycerides, insulin, ovarian testosterone levels; however, it reduced aromatase levels follicle numbers caused uterine inflammation. abnormalities tissue demonstrated downregulation insulin signaling pathway proteins dysregulation mitogenic apoptotic proteins.
