Purpose The Industry 4.0 environment is characterized by fast data, vertically and horizontally interconnected systems, human–machine interfaces. In the middle stands manager, whose sustained performance critical to organization's success. Business disturbances—such as supply chain disruptions during pandemic—can quickly test manager's resiliency. While creativity flexibility are for success in these situations, skills often not promoted directly. This paper will discuss strategies enhancing managers' resiliency give suggestions improving professional development training post-secondary business education. Design/methodology/approach A synthesis of literature psychology provides a foundation creating conceptual model incorporating promote managerial focuses on under adverse conditions, tenets also apply times relative stability. While stressing the relevance of context, organizational resilience literature has so far not extensively examined in times healthcare crises such as ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. New digital technologies, combined with the challenges faced by pandemic, have prompted several organizations, including small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), to innovate their business models. We extent this article studying impact of strategic leaders' entrepreneurial persistence on transformation model innovation (BMI). also examine role market-sensing dynamic capability in these relationships. To test our hypotheses, we use survey data from 229 owners/CEOs senior managers SMEs based United Arab Emirates. The results show that positively influences adoption technologies BMI. Moreover, has a positive effect BMI mediates direct effects mediating influence is moderated market sensing capability.

Purpose This study aims to examine the potential adaptability and resilience of rural micro-businesses within a business environment affected by successive crises, specifically drawing conclusions on crisis management, while simultaneously highlighting enterprises’ capabilities in managing current energy crisis, basis experiences best practices that they themselves have gained previously. Design/methodology/approach Convenience sampling was applied, effectively identifying 18 micro-entrepreneurs Greece. Subsequently, qualitative research conducted through semi-structured in-depth interviews. Findings Rural shown both economic health crises financial support received interventions implemented. However, different crises’ types carry risks. The has led operation’s costs raw material prices multiplying exponentially. Additionally, limited causing them respond though concrete defensive strategies innovative interventions. Research limitations/implications Future should local bodies trade unions’ perception crisis’ impact towards entrepreneurship.
