Abstract Recent years have seen increased interest among 4E cognition scholars in physical disability, leading to the development of EE-model disability. This paper contributes literature on disability and three key ways. First, it examines relationship between social constructivist views that address bodily reality disablement, highlighting commonalities distinctions. Second, critiques EE-model’s focus individual strategies for expanding disabled persons’ affordance landscapes, arguing policy should integrate insights from both approaches. Finally, assesses against “dogma harmony.” We argue while active human-environment collaboration is valuable, can inadvertently perpetuate this dogma. contend integrating certain help avoid dogma harmony.
