As the manufacturing industry undergoes upgrades and transformations, issues of equipment vibration noise are increasingly noticeable have become subject extensive research attention in academia industry. However, traditional control methods limitations, such as high cost difficult maintenance, making it to meet current production demands. To address these challenges, scholars proposed use surface textures, optimizing parameters texture shape, depth, area ratio, spatial distribution. By integrating optimizations with finite element method or friction wear tests, researchers design various geometric textures enhance performance. This paper systematically summarizes status development trend application technology reduction. Firstly, systems pipelines, brakes, bearings, gears is presented. Secondly, this analyzes impact on reducing liquid gas brake discs pads, well sliding rolling bearings. In addition, effect reduction straight-tooth cylindrical gears, centrifugal pumps, automobile surfaces, high-speed train surfaces has been investigated. Finally, mechanisms texturing presents pressing challenges future directions, providing inspiration insights for advancing its field.
