Drought assessment has attracted attention in the research community, especially regarding accuracy of drought indices due to input data uncertainty. This study addressed impacts uncertainty on estimation Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Evapotranspiration (SPEI) for Peninsular Malaysia. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test recommended gamma distribution function SPI log-logistic SPEI. bootstrap method was used estimate SPIU SPEIU, which account uncertainty, provided estimates SPEI values. However, standard deviation indicated significant with values ranging from 0.1038 0.1378. two exhibited similar classifications categories, but showed greater very dry extremely events. findings emphasize importance when dealing extreme

Ongoing climate change is leading to more extreme weather, which affects agriculture in various ways. In semi-arid regions of the world and even Europe, drought stress becoming frequent. Prolonged periods lead severe damages on cultivated plants, again impacts water food resources. This review overviews how plants but also different management practices can be applied reduce negative effects. A special attention given nano-farming where application nanomaterials may ameliorate by increasing enzymatic antioxidants, decreasing generation reactive oxygen species (ROS). Despite promising results we conclude that further research required for emphasizing potential effects, example nano-toxicity particles enter into groundwater or chain. Finally, a complexed problem all living organisms, quick fix not possible mankind needs collaborate work better future all.

Proper utilization of agricultural land is a big challenge as they often laid over waste lands. Farming significant occupation in any country and improving it further by promoting more farming opportunities will take the towards making huge leap forward. The issue achieving this would be lack knowledge cultivable for food crops. objective work to utilize modern computer vision technology identify map needs. With increasing population demand food, sector crucial. However, lies suitable crops cultivation. To tackle issue, we propose use sophisticated image processing techniques on satellite images determine regions that are capable growing solution architecture includes enhancement imagery using pan sharpening techniques, notably Brovey transformation, aiming transform dull into sharper versions, thereby overall quality interpretability visual data. Making weather data location observed taking factors like soil moisture, weather, humidity, wind, sunlight times so on, fed generative pre-trained transformer model which makes gives set grown piece under said conditions. results obtained proposed fusion approach compared with dataset provided government different states India performance was measured. We achieved an accuracy 80% considering crop suggested our predominant region. Also, classification report detailing presented.

Context The global water crisis is driven by human overconsumption, depleting resources faster than they can regenerate. This threatens ecosystems and exacerbates drought-related shortages, which may escalate into international conflicts if not properly managed. Aims study assesses the effectiveness of drought indices in evaluating managing droughts to determine their role developing mitigation plans against scarcity. It also highlights strategies reduce risks prevent future through proactive approaches. Methods Drought measure severity frequency various regions identify patterns availability most drought-prone areas. In addition discussed indices, traditional innovative risk management for will be analysed, particularly focusing on vulnerable Key results Communities mankind are becoming more exposed meteorological disasters ranging from flooding attributed minimal or excess rain. Analysis multi-dimensional aspects lead better understanding how activities, such as mining deforestation, increase this natural occurrence. By applying knowledge, we avoid practices that overheighten effects dry weather conditions. growing population means new approaches necessary food sustainability security balance with environmental protection resource conservation. Conclusion concludes large-scale engineering projects relief harm agricultural land, advocating sustainable, eco-friendly solutions. emphasises need improved conservation efforts, prioritising replenishment over artificial interventions. Implications findings advocate nature-based ecological damage, enhance long-term resilience, emphasise cooperation conflicts, linking ecosystem sustainability.
