Abstract With the rapid change of people's lifestyle, more childbearing couples live with irregular schedules (i.e., staying up late) and suffer from decreased fertility abortion, which can be caused by luteal phase defect (LPD). We used continuous light‐exposed mice as a model to observe whether light exposure may affect luteinization function. showed that level progesterone in serum reduced ( p < .001), number corpus luteum (CL) .01), expressions luteinization‐related genes Lhcgr , Star Ptgfr Runx2 ), clock Clock Per1 Mt1 were downregulated .05) ovaries exposed light, suggesting induces defects functions. Strikingly, injection melatonin (3 mg/kg) could improve functions mice. Moreover, we found that, after 2 h hCG injection, pERK1/2 ovary group, but increased administration LPD through activating ERK1/2 pathway. In summary, our data demonstrate affects function, rescued melatonin.

Reproductive system diseases pose prominent threats to human physical and mental well-being. Besides being influenced by genetic material regulation changes in lifestyle, the occurrence of these is closely connected exposure harmful substances environment. Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), characterized hormone-like effects, have a wide range influences on reproductive system. EDCs are ubiquitous natural environment present industrial everyday products. Currently, thousands been reported exhibit endocrine this number likely increase as testing for potential has not consistently required, obtaining data limited, partly due long latency many diseases. The ability avoid EDCs, especially those artificially synthesized origin, increasingly challenging. While can be divided into persistent non-persistent depending their degree degradation, recent uptick research studies area, we chosen focus pertaining detrimental effects health several that widely encountered daily life over past six years, specifically bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates (PAEs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), parabens, pesticides, heavy metals, so on. By focusing impact hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, which leads development diseases, review aims provide new insights molecular mechanisms EDCs’ damage encourage further in-depth clarify potentially EDC through various other mechanisms. Ultimately, it offers scientific basis enhance risk management, an endeavor significant societal importance safeguarding health.

Bisphenol A (BPA) as an endocrine disrupting chemical has been shown to alter reproductive function, but little is known on its analogues such bisphenol F (BPF) and S (BPS) with increasing usage exposure. To explore the associations between exposures BPA, BPF BPS serum hormones among reproductive-aged Chinese men. We measured concentrations in repeated urine samples multiple collected from 462 men attending infertility clinic Wuhan, China. Linear regression models were applied assess averaged urinary levels hormone concentrations, restricted cubic spline (RCS) further utilized potential non-linear associations. also examined modifying effects by age body mass index (BMI). There was evidence of BPA exposure altered hormones. However, we found that elevated negative estrogen (E2) E2/T (total testosterone) ratio (all P for trends < 0.05), negatively associated SHBG (P trend = 0.09). Based RCS models, these linear except confirmed. In stratified analyses, relation reduced E2 more pronounced aged > 30 years, whereas their ≤ 30. Also, association FSH only emerged BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2 interaction 0.03). male E2, levels, varied BMI.

Bisphenols (BPs) are a group of organic compounds used extensively in plastics, coatings, and epoxy resins; they have been concern recently due to their endocrine-disrupting effects. Among these, bisphenol A (BPA) is the most studied. Regulatory measures, such as ban on BPA use baby bottles by European Union its restricted thermal paper, reflect growing awareness health risks BPA. To mitigate these risks, analogs S (BPS), F (BPF), others (BPAF, BPAP, BPB, BPP, BPZ) developed alternatives. Despite intended safety, detected environmental media, including indoor dust receipt well human biological samples. Studies report presence urine at levels comparable BPA, with BPS BPF found 78% 55% samples, respectively. In addition, BPs follicular fluid (FF) concentrations that could exert some paracrine effects ovarian function reproductive health. With increased global production BPs, occupational exposure contamination also increase. This review summarizes what currently known about ovary mechanisms which PBs toxicity, particular focus oogenesis, folliculogenesis, steroidogenesis. Further, this emphasizes influence functions need for further biosafety evaluations.

Maternal endocrine homeostasis is vital to a successful pregnancy, regulated by several hormones such as human chorionic gonadotropin, estrogen, leptin, glucocorticoid, insulin, prostaglandin, and others. Endocrine stress during pregnancy can modulate nutrient availability from mother fetus, alter fetoplacental growth reproductive functions. disrupters bisphenols (BPs) phthalates are exposed in our daily life's highest volume. Therefore, they extensively scrutinized for their effects on metabolism, steroidogenesis, insulin signaling, inflammation involving obesity, diabetes, the system. PCOS is an endocrine disorder characterized by chronic anovulation, hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovaries. Its etiology uncertain. It debated whether BPA would be a component of the environmental factor in PCOS. Contamination can occur from food packaging (exposure during diet) through skin absorption and/or inhalation. transferred to fetus via placenta or infant breast milk, it found follicular fluid, fetal serum, amniotic fluid. The phenolic structure allows interact with Estrogen Receptors (ERs) genomic signaling, which binds nuclear ERα Erβ, nongenomic signaling binding membrane ERs, prompting rapid intense response. With daily constant exposure, BPA's tendency bioaccumulate its ability activate pathways alter women's metabolic reproductive function, leading insulin resistance, obesity, atherogenic dyslipidemia, inflammatory state, anovulation favoring harmful changes caused passed on future generations without need for additional exposure because epigenetic modifications. Not only high levels produce effects, but at low levels, may when occurs most vulnerable periods, such as neonatal well prepubertal age causing early accumulation body. Learning how participates pathogenesis poses challenge further studies should conducted.

The aim this review was to investigate interrelation BPA and female PubMed (Medline) searched from 2013 until 2022 identify epidemiological studies that report association fertility parameters, vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) endometriosis. Regarding general fertility, an inverse between reserve markers, namely antral follicle count (AFC) anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH). estradiol (E2) levels did not correlate significantly majority studies. No definite conclusions can be reached IVF endpoints or Lastly, higher prevalence PCOS women concentrations, although no casualty has been proven.
