ABSTRACT Post‐COVID‐19 mucormycosis, particularly the rhino‐orbital‐cerebral form, can be life‐threatening. This case highlights importance of maintaining high clinical suspicion, especially in patients with recent COVID‐19 history. Prompt diagnosis, aggressive surgical debridement, and antifungal therapy are crucial for successful management, even without traditional risk factors.

The cardiovascular system (CVS) is made up of the heart, blood vessels, and blood. fundamental function CVS to transport substances from all parts body. heart major pumping organ, pressurizing for circulation through vessels; propelled away in arteries returns veins. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) an umbrella term a number inter-linked diseases, generally defined as coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular high pressure, peripheral arterial rheumatic congenital arrhythmia, etc. Globally, CVDs are leading cause deaths, according estimation World Health Organization (WHO), about 17.9 million people died 2019, accounting 32% global deaths. About 75% CVD deaths occur low- middle-income countries. This burden can be decreased by careful risk reduction (such lifestyle modification, smoking alcohol cessation, weight optimization, physical exercise), proper medical treatments, including herbal components. prevention reduce occurrence events, thereby reducing premature disability, morbidity, mortality, while prolonging survival quality life.

COronaVIrus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a newly emerging infectious disease that spread across the world, caused by novel coronavirus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).Despite advancements in science led to creation of vaccine, there still an urgent need for new antiviral drugs effective against SARS-CoV-2.This study aimed investigate effect Paulownia tomentosa Steud extract SARS-CoV-2 and evaluate its antioxidant properties, including respiratory smooth muscle relaxant effects. Our results showed P. can inhibit viral replication directly interacting with both 3-chymotrypsin-like protease spike protein. In addition, phyto complex does not reduce lung epithelial cell viability exerts protective action those cells damaged tert-butyl hydroperoxide , toxic agent able alter cells' functions via increased oxidative stress. These data suggest potential role COVID-19 treatment, since this act as cytoprotective vitro.

Mucormycosis is a rare fungal infection, with high mortality, commonly associated diabetes, malignancies, immunosuppressive therapy, and other immunodeficiency conditions. The emergence of mucormycosis cases has been advanced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Clinical presentation variable, from asymptomatic to persistent fever or localized infections. We present case Romanian old man, without diabetes immunodepression, who developed severe rhino-orbital bacterial superinfections, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Klebsiella pneumoniae. late diagnostic antifungal treatment was related extensive lesions, bone tissue loss, required complex reconstruction procedures. review relationships between mucormycosis, COVID-19, suspicion index should be increased in medical practice. COVID-19-Associated-Mucormycosis currently challenging, calling for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Mucormycosis, a rare but deadly fungal infection, was an epidemic during the COVID-19 pandemic. The rise in cases (COVID-19-associated mucormycosis, CAM) is attributed to excessive steroid and antibiotic use, poor hospital hygiene, crowded settings. Major contributing factors include diabetes weakened immune systems. main manifesting forms of CAM─cutaneous, pulmonary, deadliest, rhinocerebral─and disseminated infections elevated mortality rates 85%. Recent focus lies on small-molecule inhibitors due their advantages over standard treatments like surgery liposomal amphotericin B (which carry several long-term adverse effects), offering potential central nervous system penetration, diverse targets, simpler dosing owing small size, rendering ability traverse blood–brain barrier via passive diffusion facilitated by phospholipid membrane. Adaptation versatility mucormycosis are multitude virulence factors, enabling pathogen dynamically respond various environmental stressors. A comprehensive understanding these mechanisms imperative for devising effective therapeutic interventions against this highly opportunistic that thrives immunocompromised individuals through its angio-invasive nature. Hence, Review delineates principal it employs persist challenging host environments, current progress developing them.

Abstract Background Infection by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) presents with tract-related symptoms such as fever, cough, dyspnea, and chest tightness that could progress rapidly to distress (ARDS). However, disease 2019 (COVID-19) also causes several upper including nasal congestion, sore throat, smell dysfunction. Incidence of mucormycosis in COVID-19 patients was reported during the second wave along other otorhinolaryngology-related complications. Aim This study aimed determine different complications cases a tertiary care center estimation incidence, age, gender distribution, risk factors, treatment, follow-up, mortality status participants. Methodology Patients who recovered from developed long-lasting anosmia, septal abscess, epistaxis, rhino mucormycosis, voice changes were selected for study. After obtaining patient medical records, recorded history, examination, investigations done related associated distribution ENT (Ears, Nose, Throat) collected, this data analyzed. Results The present involved 100 between 18 65 years age which included 78% males 22% females. Of these participants, 92% most common complication, diabetes being factor majority During course study, 10% participants had passed away due Conclusion Early identification highly sensitive post-COVID-19 is essential reduce morbidity among vulnerable populations.
