The quality of groundwater plays an important role in human health, and it majorly influences the agricultural process southern part India. present study mainly focused on evaluating used for domestic purpose semi-arid regions samples were collected 36 locations, covering entire investigation zone. analyzed various physical chemical characteristics compared with world health organization standards. entropy-weighted water index (EWQI) revealed that 16.67% required primary-level treatment before they could be drinking purposes. About 72.23% good-to-medium category purposes, as was identified through weighted overlay analysis. ionic relationship plot to identify source contamination carbonate weathering anthropogenic activities are primary sources contamination. results show contaminated zones offer more helpful solutions strengthen management policy region.

Abstract In recent decades, machine learning (ML) artificial intelligence has found wide application in water quality monitoring and prediction due to the increasing complexity of data. This been attributed global upsurge anthropogenic activities climatic variations. It is therefore critical identify most accurate suitable ML model for prediction. this study, a systematic literature review (SLR) was carried out explore trend progress models Nigeria from 2003–2024. A comprehensive effectiveness advanced as well gaps their area assessment also using PRISMA-P meta-analysis technique. Forty publications were used perform bibliographic analysis visualization VOS viewer software. The study that globally, use hybrid not explored; majority based on neural networks (ANN). Among ANN algorithms, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), Wavelet-Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Interference System (W-ANFIS) are prediction; with temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, conductivity (EC), total solids (TDS) among frequently predicted parameters. grossly lagging limitation largely inadequate data environmental monitoring. future studies take advantage rapidly evolving field learning; more emphasis placed hybridized algorithms

AbstractAnthropogenic contamination of surface waters is a critical issue in urbanised catchments, especially Mediterranean environments with scarce water resources and intermittent rivers. A combined hydro-geochemical multivariate statistical methodology has been applied to evaluate the quality Wadi El Hatab catchment (Central Tunisia). More than half 28 samples collected March 2021 exceeded WHO standards for sodium, chloride sulphate contents. Most polluted sites are directly influenced by domestic industrial effluents that contaminate river kilometers. Principal Component Analysis Hierarchical Ascendant Classification distinguished four sources: water-rock interaction, wastewater, untreated mainly from paper mills irrigation return. Water Quality Index model indicated 75% was unsuitable drinking purposes; while according chemical indices such as saturation index, sodium absorption coefficient (SAR), magnesium ratio (MR) percent (%Na), 25 49% were irrigation. Considering used vegetable irrigation, serious public health issues may arise. The investigation demonstrated single representative sampling campaign could be useful way identify sources when interpreted both geochemical tools. Keywords: anthropogenic activitiesenvironmental monitoringhydrogeochemistrymultivariate analysiswater index
