Foreign
direct
investment
(FDI)
is
considered
a
significant
tool
to
transform
modern
technologies
and
innovation
from
developed
developing
countries.
Unfortunately,
some
countries
impose
FDI
restrictions
for
economic,
political,
social
reasons.
The
present
study
assesses
the
role
of
different
restrictive
policies
on
inflows
in
OECD
non-OECD
empirical
results
are
estimated
by
using
panel
quantile
regression
(PQR)
at
median
1998
2022.
It
uses
all-restrictiveness
index
its
four
subtypes:
equity,
key
foreign
personnel,
screening
approval,
operational
restrictions;
data
extracted
database.
concluded
that
all
restrictiveness
policy
indexes
their
subtypes
propose
inverted
U-shaped
curve.

contrast,
countries,
