Electric
vehicles
(EVs)
are
the
most
popular
method
in
transportation
sector
to
decarbonize
and
reduce
local
air
pollution.
Due
urbanization
policy
support,
small
medium-sized
cities
have
become
favourable
markets
for
promoting
EVs.
However,
current
research
focuses
on
large
ignores
potential
of
cities.
This
study
aims
fill
existing
knowledge
gap
by
focusing
urban
area
Luoyang.
Using
exploratory
factor
analysis,
attempts
identify
examine
key
factors
that
drive
consumer
motivation
purchase
EVs
this
specific
city.
The
results
show
strongest
influencing
intention
is
economic
aspect,
followed
EV
attributes,
satisfaction,
environmental
awareness.
Furthermore,
analysis
individual
characteristics
shows
younger
population
consumers
with
previous
experience
driving
electric
cars
higher
intention.
emphasizes
need
consider
safety
convenience
addition
their
attributes.
It
underscores
create
a
level
playing
field
develop
strategies
address
interests
mainstream
customers,
ultimately
widespread
adoption.
