Climate change affects the world economy, environment, and human well-being, jeopardizing overall sustainability. The escalating impacts of climate emphasize necessity to assess moderating influence environmental policy stringency (EPS) on association energy transition (ET) GHG emissions from 1990 2020 across 36 OECD countries. Further, this study incorporates direct impact (ET), environmental-related technology (ERTs), green innovation (INV), Gross Domestic Product (GDP) emission. For purpose, employs an extensive range econometric techniques, including DOLS, FMOLS, CCR, MMQR approaches evaluate data attributes. findings demonstrate that interaction ET*EPS contributes lower −0.271% −0.300% all quantiles (20th 80th). IP financing, which involves leveraging assets like trademarks, design rights, patents, and copyrights to secure credit, is gaining increasing attention in China. Against such backdrop, this paper investigates whether financing facilitates the green innovation by exploiting China's intellectual property pledge (IPPF) pilot policy as a quasi-natural experiment. Using difference-in-differences (DiD) method, we find that patent pledges spur innovation, finding robust across various robustness tests.
