Globally, karst regions face the dual challenges of urbanization and ecological protection, with coupling coordination multi-dimensional (MDU) security (ECS) being a necessary condition for achieving sustainable development. This study, based on statistical data MDU ECS in Yunnan−Guizhou Region (the YGR) China, employs entropy weight TOPSIS model, degree (CCD) panel Tobit regression model to explore relationship between ECS. The main conclusions are as follows. (1) YGR increased from 0.299 0.305, indicating low-level sluggish Spatially, it is characterized by “dual-core” structure centered Kunming Guiyang. Groundwater, an invaluable resource crucial for irrigation and drinking purposes, significantly impacts human health societal advancement. This study aims to evaluate the groundwater quality in Mnasra region of Gharb Plain, employing a comprehensive analysis thirty samples collected from various locations, based on thirty-three physicochemical parameters. Utilizing tools like Pollution Index Groundwater (PIG), Nitrate (NPI), Water Quality (WQI), Irrigation (IWQI), as well Multivariate Statistical Approaches (MSA), Geographic Information System (GIS), this research identifies sources pollution. The results revealed Ca2+ dominance among cations Cl− primary anion. Piper Gibbs diagrams illustrated prevalent Ca2+-Cl− water type significance water–rock interactions, respectively. PIG values indicated that 86.66% exhibited “Insignificant pollution”. NPI showed notable nitrate pollution (1.48 7.06), with 83.33% rated “Good” WQI. IWQI 80% were classified “Excellent” 16.66% “Good”. Spatial identified eastern southern sections highly contaminated due agricultural activities. These findings provide valuable insights decision-makers manage resources promote sustainable management region.

ABSTRACT Ecosystem service quality is closely linked to human well‐being, and sustainable provision of ecosystem essential for ensuring regional ecological security achieving sustainability goals. An innovative valuation framework introduced that combines land use/cover change (LUCC) analysis, supply demand matrices Gini coefficient calculations assess the services (ES‐S ES‐D). Unlike traditional static methods, this approach captures intricate spatial temporal mismatches, offering new insights into impacts LUCC on ES balance within development goals (SDGs). Taking Three Gorges Reservoir Area (TGRA) as a case study, findings indicate significant decrease in cultivated land, accompanied by expansion forest built‐up area, driven farmland‐to‐forest policies urbanization. These shifts have improved provisioning supporting but also intensified disparities, particularly Chongqing, where outpaces supply. Furthermore, altered capacity ecosystems TGRA provide services, such soil retention water regulation, thereby progress toward SDGs related sustainability. However, imbalances cultural persist, highlighting need targeted management strategies optimize support This study underscores importance ongoing ES‐S ES‐D assessments inform ecologically sensitive areas like TGRA.

Forests are among the most diverse ecosystems on planet, and their biomass serves as a key measure for assessing biological productivity carbon cycle of terrestrial forest ecosystems. Recognizing factors that impact is essential health developing effective conservation strategies to preserve species diversity ecological equilibrium. This study considered explained variable, economic density explanatory human activities, land use, forestland protection control variables.
