The Yellow River Basin (YRB) faces intense man-land conflicts. However, existing studies rarely focus on the comprehensive and multidimensional development levels in YRB, there is a lack of refined county-level studies, making it difficult to fully support implementation ecological protection high-quality strategy YRB. Under Sustainable Livelihoods Framework, spatial distribution, differences, correlation characteristics counties YRB are disclosed. This achieved by comprehensively utilizing geospatial, socio-economic, other multi-source data combination with methods such as entropy weight method, Theil index, analysis. Optimal paths proposed types counties. findings follows: (1) Counties have low overall level, presenting distribution pattern “high east west” overall. In terms each dimension, average value ranking lower reach > middle upper observed dimension; exception financial dimension (with reach). (2) Differences between indices vary across different dimensions. differences (except for natural dimension) mainly attributable within reach. reaches non-significant. (3) their show strong correlation. And significant identified LL-type (clusters areas) HH-type high areas). (4) Depending measurement results advantageous factors county classified into four types: weak type, single-dimension-led potential coordinated type. Based this classification, targeted optimal specific types. research can provide effective scientific

The exploration of regional variations in coal flow efficiency (CFE) China and the collaborative strategies for emission reduction are vital accelerating progress ecological civilization within industry achieving an optimal allocation resources. To unveil evolutionary traits actual CFE its decomposition, this study employs a current technology based on combined super-efficient measure (SBM), global SBM, stochastic frontier approach (SFA), Malmquist–Luenberger index (GML) model panel data from 2010 to 2021 across 30 provinces China. research conclusions as follows. First, significant gaps observed among provinces, showcasing superior performance north east regions. Moreover, impact environmental factors random disruptions individual slack variables varies, resulting decrease 0.18 0.43 source-area sink-area when these not taken into account. Thirdly, clear distinction emerges between technical change (EC) best-practice gap (BPC). Lastly, displays disparities marked by upward trajectory fluctuating patterns resembling “W” shape.
