Purpose Given the remarkable increase in entrepreneurial activities initiated by women Egyptian context addition to scarcity of empirical studies on digital self-employment there, authors present paper aim identify what motivates engage entrepreneurship, and how those establish their activities. Design/methodology/approach The employed a qualitative research method through semi-structured interviews with 30 entrepreneurs who own manage businesses. Thematic analysis was subsequently used determine main ideas transcripts. Findings have found that enjoying absolute independence, securing more time for family, guaranteeing an independent source income ease accessing extensive online markets are motives behind engagement entrepreneurship Moreover, also asserted minimal training government support stimulate there start continue business informally. This paper answers the call for a deeper understanding of innovation issues in relation to female entrepreneurship. In doing so, it offers comprehensive and updated picture state art management research on women-owned firms. Specifically, by conducting systematic literature review, which is widely used studies, using rigorous replicable criteria, this manuscript seeks understand crucial intersection through an depth investigation 48 papers, thus addressing relevant gap that exists date.
