The Covid-19 pandemic revealed a complex health problem for people and national systems. Faced with the initial ignorance of behavior SARS-COV-2 virus in populations, turned to relief alternative medicines. In Ecuador, use traditional or western medicine systematic approach conventional are evident realities. Our work aimed assess knowledge, attitudes practices regarding formal treat disease contagion. An open, personal confidential survey was carried out, 158 questions on general data, ethnicity, status, covid-19 tests, self-medication, medicinal plants other chemical products, antibiotics antiparasitics, among data. control patients, six months after finishing survey, they were asked about acceptance vaccine decision be vaccinated not. results 3,000 persons (50% female 50% male) show frequent medicine, even personnel university studies. study's conclusions reflect that choose any therapies have access mix treatments ones unproven toxic. The COVID-19 pandemic demands changes in using of medicinal plants. Empirically, the plants Curcuma xanthorrhiza (CX) and black cumin (BC) have been used massively era pandemic. (CXBC) preparations developed with main ingredients BC oil CX extract. purpose study was to determine antioxidant immune-modulatory activities CXBC active substances (polyphenols, flavonoids, thymoquinone). We conducted experimental laboratory research. immunomodulatory activity test carried out on human large lung cancer cell line (HTB-183 cells) by observing expression tumor necrosis factor alfa (TNF-α) interleukine 10 (IL-10). results showed that preparation contained 4% thymoquinone, 25.87 mg/ml polyphenols, 41.86 mg/dl flavonoids. contain vitamins (A, C, E) minerals (potassium, calcium). included strong category IC50=54.87 ppm. increased TNF-a decreased IL-10 HTB-183 cells. Based results, it can be concluded contains polyphenol, flavonoid, a high level vitamin minerals. potent activity, increase TNF-α decrease expression.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential to maintain a healthy condition reduce risk of exposure COVID-19. One way take vitamins or herbal-based supplements. Samilakor, abbreviation 'Sari Minuman Rempah asli Lawan Korona,' can modulate and increase immunity. The training target for making Samilakor SA3 Bidakara Forum, South Jakarta, an online community initially formed as Islamic forum at Al Hidayah Mosque, Jakarta. This includes knowledge about COVID-19, immunomodulators, how process spices, herbal drink. on drinks conducted through seminar (webinar) via Zoom platform. Participants' was assessed by pre-test post-test, Google Form. success indicator be seen from increased participants in drinks. statistical analysis used paired t-test. post-test scores showed that experienced average score 60.5 (SD = 12.1) 80.5 15.7). t-test yielded p-value <0.001, which indicates significant difference between scores. drink people's understanding immunomodulatory capabilities In addition, this carried out cover broader scope.
