This article describes the systematic development of I Move intervention: a web-based computer tailored physical activity promotion intervention, aimed at increasing and maintaining among adults. intervention is based on theoretical insights practical applications self-determination theory motivational interviewing.Since developing interventions in systemically planned way increases likelihood effectiveness, we used Intervention Mapping protocol to develop intervention. In this article, first describe how proceeded through each six steps protocol. After that, content elaborate randomized controlled trial.By integrating interviewing tailoring, introduces more participant-centered approach than traditional interventions. Adopting might enhance both terms effectiveness user appreciation. We will evaluate an trial, by comparing intervention.NTR4129.

Abstract Chatbots hold the promise of revolutionizing education by engaging learners, personalizing learning activities, supporting educators, and developing deep insight into learners’ behavior. However, there is a lack studies that analyze recent evidence-based chatbot-learner interaction design techniques applied in education. This study presents systematic review 36 papers to understand, compare, reflect on attempts utilize chatbots using seven dimensions: educational field, platform, principles, role chatbots, styles, evidence, limitations. The results show were mainly designed web platform teach computer science, language, general education, few other fields such as engineering mathematics. Further, more than half used teaching agents, while third peer agents. Most predetermined conversational path, quarter utilized personalized approach catered students’ needs, experiential collaborative besides principles. Moreover, evaluated with experiments, primarily point improved subjective satisfaction. Challenges limitations include inadequate or insufficient dataset training reliance usability heuristics. Future should explore effect chatbot personality localization satisfaction effectiveness.

Embodied conversational agents (ECAs) are computer-generated characters that simulate key properties of human face-to-face conversation, such as verbal and nonverbal behavior. In Internet-based eHealth interventions, ECAs may be used for the delivery automated support factors. We aim to provide an overview technological clinical possibilities, well evidence base ECA applications in psychology, inform health professionals about activity this field research.Given large variety applied methodologies, types applications, scientific disciplines involved research, we conducted a systematic scoping review. Scoping reviews map concepts underlying area answer less-specific questions than traditional reviews. The computers are social actors framework (CASA), derived from the media equation, explains how people communicate with and machines demonstrating potential. Many studies have challenged CASA, yet it has not been revised. We argue that CASA needs to be expanded because changed, technologies way interact changed. discuss implications of these changes propose an extension CASA. Whereas suggests humans mindlessly apply human-human scripts interactions agents, we may develop human-media interactions. Our previous dissonant findings expands scholarship regarding human-machine communication, human-computer interaction, human-robot human-agent artificial intelligence, computer-mediated communication.

From past research it is well known that social exclusion has detrimental consequences for mental health. To deal with these adverse effects, socially excluded individuals frequently turn to other humans emotional support. While chatbots can elicit and responses on the part of human interlocutor, their effectiveness in context not been investigated. In present study, we examined whether an empathic chatbot serve as a buffer against effects ostracism. After experiencing media, participants were randomly assigned either talk empathetic about (e.g., "I'm sorry this happened you") or control condition where merely acknowledged "Thank you your feedback"). Replicating previous research, results revealed experiences dampened mood participants. Interacting chatbot, however, appeared have mitigating impact. particular, intervention reported higher than those condition. Theoretical, methodological, practical implications, directions future are discussed.

In this study, we delve into the perceived quality of recommendations provided by AI-based virtual service assistants (VSAs). Specifically, role social presence VSAs in influencing recommendation perceptions is investigated. We also explore how a VSA formed and anthropomorphism plays vital shaping eventually instilling trust among consumers. These relationships are examined context online government services. The results indicate that consumer interaction with - manifesting via anthropomorphism, presence, dialog length, attitudes improves perceptions, which further instills VSA-based recommendations. Perceived was found to strongly influence formation whereas outcomes were be partially conditional on length degree positive toward VSAs. findings additionally suggest can considered actor possesses capability bring "human touch" services, therefore improving overall experience.

Objective: This article reviews theoretical and empirical evidence related to three mechanisms for encouraging enjoyment during exergame play: Feedback, challenge, rewards. Materials Methods: A literature search narrative review were conducted. Results: Feedback is found in nearly all exergames, richer, more in-depth feedback associated with increased activity. Challenge a vital component of any videogame, exergames include physical as well cognitive challenges. Flow states have traditionally been conceptualized occurring when an optimal match between player skills game challenge occurs. However, failure retrial are necessary feelings overall satisfaction fun, despite not necessarily being ideally fun or satisfying themselves. Rewards complicated issue, significant suggesting positive negative effects reward systems. How rewards integrated into the mechanics storyline likely impacts how they perceived and, thus, their effectiveness. Finally, integration these requires specific attention both implementations. Movements that themselves enjoyable engaging may lead cheating lower energy expenditure. Conclusions: promising by which could become enjoyable. concepts operationalized can affect psychological reactions exergames. Attention future development implementation would benefit theory, research, practice.
