The ability of socially assistive robots (SARs) to treat dementia and Alzheimer's disease has been verified. Currently, increase the range their application, there is an increasing amount interest in using SARs relieve pain negative emotions among children routine medical settings. However, little consensus regarding use these robots. This study aimed evaluate effect on affectivity undergoing invasive needle-based procedures. was a systematic review meta-analysis randomized controlled trials that conducted accordance with Cochrane Handbook guidelines. PubMed, CINAHL, Web Science, Library, Embase, CNKI, WanFang databases were searched from inception January 2024 identify relevant (RCTs). We used Risk Bias tool 2.0 (RoB2.0) assess risk bias included studies, we RevMan 5.4 software conduct meta-analysis. Grading Recommendations, Assessment, Development, Evaluation (GRADE) framework quality evidence. Ten RCTs involving 815 pediatric subjects selected for this reported outcomes related during IV placement, port needle insertion, flu vaccination, blood sampling, dental treatment. Children needle-related procedures less anxiety (SMD= -0.36; 95% CI= -0.64, -0.09) fewer distressed avoidance behaviors -0.67; -1.04, -0.30) than did those receiving typical care. There nonsignificant differences between groups terms (SMD = -0.02; CI − 0.81, 0.78) fear 0.38; -0.06, 0.82). results exploratory subgroup analyses revealed no statistically significant based intervention type or anesthetic use. promising method alleviating distress additional high-quality are needed further validate conclusions. protocol registered database PROSPERO (registration ID: CRD42023413279).

Driven by the wave of artificial intelligence, educational practice and application robots have become increasingly common. Despite extensive coverage in literature on various aspects robots, there are still unexplored avenues, particularly regarding robotic support, personality, challenges their applications. This study presented a systematic review high-quality empirical research use physical settings. A total 92 relevant papers from Web Science database were analyzed. Employing technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPCK) framework, we investigated questions across seven components, including learning domain, teaching strategy, robot types, results, problems with using personality. The findings revealed that most prevalently employed language When opting for strategies, educators tend to favor those incorporate interaction. Background As health education robots may potentially become a significant support force in nursing practice the future, it is imperative to adhere European Union’s concept of “Responsible Research and Innovation” (RRI) deeply reflect on ethical risks hidden process intelligent robotic education. Aim This study explores perceptions professional professionals regarding potential associated with clinical design adopts descriptive phenomenological approach, employing Colaizzi’s seven-step method for data analysis. Participants research context We conducted semi-structured interviews 17 from tertiary comprehensive hospitals China. Ethical considerations has been approved by Ethics Committee Second Affiliated Hospital Nanjing University Chinese Medicine, Jiangsu Provincial Medicine Hospital. Findings Nursing personnel, adhering principles RRI “person-centered” care, have critically reflected inherent reflection primarily identified six themes: (a) threats human dignity, (b) concerns about patient safety, (c) apprehensions privacy disclosure, (d) worries implicit burdens, (e) responsibility attribution, (f) expectations social support. Conclusions focuses robots, which are perceived minimal risks, provides rich detailed insights into Even seemingly safe elicit among their safety ethics practice. we move forward, essential remain attentive negative impacts actively address them.

In recent years, there has been a lack of healthy lifestyle habits in the population, including hydration, with negative consequences for health. At same time, advances technology have changed process teaching and learning since elementary school, highlighting incorporation educational robots as innovative resources years. This study analyzes state scientific knowledge presented by university students doing degree Primary Education after robotics-based intervention. The adopted quasi-experimental design qualitative approach, using category systems quantitative approach descriptive inferential (Chi-square Contingency Coefficient) statistics. results show that level improved different contents involved, excellent recommended daily volume hydration. Innovative interventions, through digital such Educational Robotics, are possible alternatives to promoting habit due effective biosanitary young population.
