This
review
summarizes
the
advancements
in
rhodium-catalyzed
asymmetric
C–H
functionalization
reactions
during
last
two
decades.
Parallel
to
rapidly
developed
palladium
catalysis,
rhodium
catalysis
has
attracted
extensive
attention
because
of
its
unique
reactivity
and
selectivity
reactions.
In
recent
years,
Rh-catalyzed
have
been
significantly
many
respects,
including
catalyst
design,
reaction
development,
mechanistic
investigation,
application
synthesis

functional
molecules.

Rhodium(III)-catalyzed
atroposelective
C–H
selenylation
of
1-aryl
isoquinolines
has
been
achieved.
The
direct
reaction
between
and
2-(phenylselanyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione
in
the
presence
chiral
SCpRh(III)
complex
afforded
a
series
axially
isoquinoline
selenides
up
to
95%
yield
96%
ee.
features
mild
conditions
broad
substrate
scope.
DFT
calculations
revealed
that
C–Se
bond
formation
step
proceeds
through
formal
SN2
pathway.

method

construction
of
various
fluorenones
has
been
achieved
via
Rh(III)-catalyzed
C–H
activation/[4
+
2]
annulation/aromatization
sequences
simple
and
readily
available
enaminones
1,3-dienes.
This
protocol
showed
good
substrate
compatibility
as
an
array
structurally
electronically
diverse
prepared
efficiently
in
moderate
to
yields
preparative
scale
utility
showing
very
efficiency
the
late-stage
functionalization
complex
valuable
molecules.
