Today’s
widespread
and
increasing
access
to
the
Internet
new
technologies
not
only
offers
great
opportunities
but
also
risks
for
problematic
use,
whose
psychological
dynamics
need
be
understood
in
depth.
This
study
examines
how
technology
addiction
may
differentially
affect
well‐being
(i.e.,
psychological,
eudaimonic,
cognitive
hedonic)
digital
life
balance
depending
on
people’s
reported
levels
of
online
social
capital.
Seven
hundred
eleven
participants
(75.70%
female;

years,

took
part
data
collection.

people
with
high
capital
showed
higher
scores,
as
indicated
by
perceptions
satisfaction

showing
it
can
contribute
ensuring
driving
needs,
maintaining
even

maladaptive
behaviors,

types

shades

varying

Abstract
The
