Prior research has explored the consequences of sudden transition to remote work during pandemic. Less is known, however, about how mental distress individuals who changed locations pandemic differed from that those consistently worked home or on-site, nor what extent these differences varied across worker characteristics, such as gender and caregiving obligations. This study addresses gaps using data Pew Research Center’s American Trends Panel survey a Stress Process Model framework.
