While
there
is
growing
optimism
for
inner
transformations
to
catalyse
systemic
shifts
towards
more
sustainable
ways
of
being,
no
study
so
far
has
attempted
assess
how
well
current
interventions
development
address
core
requirements
collective
wellbeing.
In
this
article,
we
apply
a
novel
assessment
framework
examine
mindfulness-based
and
outer
sustainability
criteria
during
global
health
emergency.
This
inquiry
informs
field
concerned
with
leveraging
progress.
Using
three
prominent
online
offerings
as
case
study,
demonstrate
that
have
broad
range
potential
desirable
detrimental
implications
social
biophysical
systems.
We
conclude
by
discussing
normative
conceptions
might
be
contextualised
anew
effectively
support
viable,
just,
inclusive
long-term
viability.

Abstract
There
has
been
a
recent
proliferation
of
research
and
practice
on
the
interior
dimensions
sustainability,
such
as
values,
beliefs,
worldviews
inner
capacities.
This
nascent
field
transformation
is
dynamic
emerging,
with
varied
terminology,
breadth
applications,
intense
debate
about
possible
contributions
well
limitations
shortcomings.
In
this
article,
we
aim
to
provide
some
orientation
by
systematising
core
emerging
domain
via
acronym
IMAGINE.
We
show
that
ontologically,
highlights
(i)
Interdependence
inner/outer
individual/collective/system
phenomena,
(ii)
Multiple
potential
latent
within
each
us
enable
transformative
change.
Correspondingly,
it
underscores
implications
phenomena
for
sustainability
related
action-taking,
particularly
through:
(iii)
Activation
across
individual,
collective
system
levels,
(iv)
Generation
capacities
through
intentional
practices.
Epistemologically,
necessitates
(v)
INclusion
diverse
perspectives,
required
(vi)
Expanding
knowledge
systems
sustainability.
The
presented
heuristic
offers
framework
systematically
support
guide
researchers,
educators
practitioners
incorporate
into
their
work,
which
key
requirement
outcomes
necessary
effectively
formulate
policy
frameworks.

Despite
increasing
efforts
by
research
and
policy
to
approach
sustainability,
human
impact
on
nonhuman
nature
is
intensifying
the
current
social-ecological
crisis.
To
foster
sustainability
transformation,
there
a
need
re-think
qualities
of
human-nature
connections
which
calls
for
relational
discourses
that
provide
alternatives
predominance
mindsets
postulating
divide.
Against
this
backdrop,
conceptual
paper
introduces
'human-nature
resonance'
as
account
provides
system,
target,
transformation
knowledge
transformation.
The
argues
crisis
has

causes
in

relations.

it

Transformations
to
sustainability
require
alternatives
the
paradigms,
practices,
and
policies
that
have
generated
social-ecological
destruction
Anthropocene.
In
science,
several
conceptual
frameworks
been
developed
for
transformations,
including
social-ecological,
multi-level,
transformative
adaptation,
pathways
approaches.
There
is
a
growing
shift
towards
recognising
transformations
as
'shared
spaces'
involving
multiple
ways
of
knowing,
being,
doing.
Diverse
relational
approaches
are
increasingly
articulated
by
Indigenous,
humanities,
social
science
scholars,
practitioners,
activists
from
Global
South
North.
Broadly,
enact
separable
categories
society
nature,
emphasise
unfolding
relations
between
human
non-human
beings,
highlight
importance
ethical
responsibilities
care
these
relationships.
Yet
while
it
important
recognise
collective
significance
diverse
lifeways,
philosophies
also
vital
their
differences:
efforts

universal

relationality

Abstract
Complex
and
urgent
challenges
including
climate
change
the
significant
decline
in
biodiversity
provide
a
broad
agenda
for
interdisciplinary
scholars
interested

businesses,
humanity,
other
species.
Within
this
context
of
sustainability,
persistent
conflicts
between
key
paradigms
create
substantial
barriers
against—but
also
opportunities
for—developing
new
conceptual
approaches
theoretical
models
to
understand
respond
these
critical
issues.
Here,
I
revisit
paradigmatic
tensions
assess
their
impact
on
research
debate
ethics,
business.
Drawing
relational
ontology
values
nature
that
recognise
humanity’s
tight
embeddedness
within
planetary
ecosystem,
examine
how
conceptualising
sustainability
as
pursuit
life
might
generate
insights
practice
into
wider
transformation
needed
sustain
restore
socioecological
systems.
The
aim
here,
however,
is
not
reconcile
but
instead
use
them
fruitful
lens
examining
while
acknowledging
inherent
ethical
dilemmas
individuals,
organisations,
society.
