ABSTRACT Two phosphorus‐containing silane coupling agents (PSCAs), KH550‐P and KH560‐P, are successfully prepared by reacting 10‐hydroxy‐9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphorus‐10‐oxide (DOPOOH) with (3‐aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (KH550) 3‐glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH560), respectively. These two PSCAs used as the surface modification of ammonium polyphosphate (APP). The flame retardancy mechanical properties epoxy resin (EP) PSCA‐modified APP investigated. When weight ratio to is 18:2 addition amount APPs, APP‐KH550‐P APP‐KH560‐P , in EP reaches 8%, resulting flame‐retardant composite materials, EP/APP‐KH550‐P EP/APP‐KH560‐P exhibit good a V‐0 rating vertical combustion test (UL‐94). limiting oxygen index values both higher than 30%. peak heat release rates decrease 13.8% 28.5%, respectively, compared containing 8% (EP/APP). Both KH560‐P demonstrate similar performance enhancing APP. added EP, found be those EP/APP. Conversely, tensile strength impact increase 23.8% 74.3%, shows significantly better EP.

Abstract Four metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), namely MIL‐88B‐Fe, MIL‐53‐Fe, Co‐MOF, and Ni‐MOF, were successfully prepared using polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste as the raw material. The structure morphology of MOFs characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM) X‐ray diffraction (XRD). Subsequently, synergistic flame retardancy these with aluminum diethylphosphinate (ADP) in epoxy resin (EP) was compared. MOFs, particular exhibited significant when used combination ADP. When addition amount MIL‐88B‐Fe ADP EP 4% to weight ratio at 1:19, flame‐retardant EP, EP/Fe88B‐ADP‐2:38, achieved a high limiting oxygen index (LOI) value 34.2%. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) results indicated that residual carbon EP/Fe88B‐ADP‐2:38 increased by approximately 6.6% compared pure EP. Additionally, peak heat release rate (PHRR) decreased 30.2% also demonstrated excellent smoke suppression, 16.5% decrease total production (TSP) These studies have provided new insights into efficient utilization PET waste. retardant, composed waste‐derived ADP, can enhance while preserving EP's mechanical properties. Hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCP) was reacted with piperazine to obtain poly(cyclotriphosphazene-co-piperazine) particle (PCPS), which used as the flame retardant for epoxy resin (EP). The structure of PCPS determined by various methods. When alone and addition amount in prepared flame-retardant EP (FR-EP) reached 4%, obtained FR-EP cannot even pass V-1 level Vertical burning (UL-94) test. However, showed a synergistic retardancy aluminum diethylphosphinate (ADP). mixture ADP 4% weight ratio 3:1, FR-EP, EP-ADP/PCPS3:1, V-0 UL-94 limiting oxygen index (LOI) value EP-ADP/PCPS3:1 29.7%. Compared pure EP, peak heat release rate micro-combustion calorimetry (MCC) test reduced 20.6%. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) result that, PCPS, char residual increased about 5.1% compared EP. combination significant advantage promoting mechanical properties hardly decreased PCPS.
