Biodegradable packaging films have appeared as a promising alternative to conservative plastic packaging, offering significant environmental benefits and functional properties for food preservation. Essential oils (EOs), known their natural antibacterial antioxidant assets, gained attention potential increase quality shelf life while decreasing effects. Its goal is investigate how well biodegradable sheets with essential function in terms of preserving quality. Using solvent casting, were created using biopolymeric materials mixed such thyme, oregano, clove, rosemary, cinnamon, lemon oil. The Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) test the DPPH radical scavenging assay used measure activity, which showed decreased oxidative degradation. A Universal Testing Machine (UTM) was assess mechanical parameters, tensile strength (TS) elongation at break (EB), guaranteeing adequate flexibility durability. To evaluate moisture oxygen barrier qualities, gravimetric sorption analysis, or GSA, used. According results, film extracts had 5%–8% less activity than pure oils, according experiment. TBARS oxidation demonstrated that containing significantly reduced (p < 0.05) compared controls. Mechanical tests revealed reduction 0.05), but no effects on permeation migration > 0.05). It highlights can enhance safety, extend life, provide sustainable conventional packaging.
