Abstract The risks that dyes, drugs, and pathogenic bacterial strains bring to ecosystems public health when they contaminate water bodies, emphasize the need for adaptable materials can efficiently treat a wide range of contaminants. In current investigation, α ‐Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles were fabricated via green synthesis utilized degrade dextromethorphan dyes. initially characterized through visual assessment color subsequently analyzed using UV spectroscopy, FTIR, SEM/EDS, XRD. TGA curve ‐Fe₂O₃ shows multi‐step weight loss pattern as temperature increases from room 700 °C. first occurs between 50 °C 200 °C, followed by 9% 350 3% 500 5% photocatalytic degradation efficiency synthesized was investigated two phenol red, eosin yellow. exhibited exceptional performance, achieving approximately 99% 98% 90% yellow respectively within 120 min. addition, promising antibacterial activity against both gram‐negative gram‐positive bacteria which describes their application resistant organisms.
