Abstract Background: Weekend warrior physical activity (PA) pattern has been shown to have similar health benefits regularly active activity. We aimed explore the association of weekend PA with all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver (MASLD) through NHANES 2007-2018. Methods: assessed patterns based on recommended total duration (≥150 min/week) exercise sessions. was defined as completing amount 1-2 sessions, whereas group ≥3 MASLD presence hepatic steatosis (as by Fatty Liver Index) disturbances. Results: A 10,410 participants were enrolled. Achieving significantly reduced compared inactive group. Total frequency inversely associated risk within limited excessive sessions had no additional benefit. In fully adjusted model, lower (hazard ratio [HR] 0.423, 95% CI 0.233-0.767) CVD (HR 0.172, 0.044-0.677) When referenced, did not increase mortality. The between only present <60 years age. Conclusions: may serve a viable modality reduce patients MASLD, particularly among those

Abstract Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), formerly known as MAFLD, has emerged a major public health concern in South Asia, driven by rising obesity, diabetes, and sedentary lifestyles. Despite its high burden, fibrosis— the strongest predictor of liver-related morbidity mortality— remains underdiagnosed, particularly resource-limited regions like Andhra Pradesh, India. Objective To assess prevalence hepatic fibrosis association with metabolic lifestyle risk factors MASLD patients using FibroScan® tertiary care hospital Pradesh. Methods A prospective observational study was conducted among 194 diagnosed MASLD. Liver steatosis were assessed non-invasively FibroScan®. Clinical, demographic, anthropometric, data collected through structured interviews medical record reviews. Statistical analyses included Chi-square tests regression models to evaluate associations between fibrosis. Results Hepatic identified 160 (82.5%). Elevated BMI (> 23) significantly associated (p = 0.0389), 83.1% cases occurring overweight or obese individuals. Although physical inactivity (78.1%), hypertension (27.5%), diabetes mellitus (21.9%) common patients, these not statistically significant. Non-vegetarian diets 0.0035) but Gender analysis revealed that while males constituted majority cases, females had disproportionately higher rate relative their group size. Conclusion This highlights substantial burden > 23 independent predictor. These findings underscore need for early, BMI-based stratification integration non-invasive diagnostics into routine care. Public interventions should prioritize weight management, modification, region-specific assessment curb progression high-risk populations.
