Comparative analysis of extensive form zero sum game algorithms for Poker like games

The resolution of extensive-form zero-sum games is a fundamental challenge in computational game theory, addressed through various algorithms, each with unique strengths and limitations. This paper presents comprehensive comparison leading using Poker-like as benchmarks to assess their performance. For algorithm, optimal parameters were identified, evaluations conducted based on exploitability, average utility, iterations per second, convergence speed, scalability. evaluation process comprised three stages. First, algorithms tested two-player variants Kuhn, Leduc, Royal Poker. Second, the scalability Kuhn Poker algorithm was examined by extending it five players. Finally, speed across all systematically compared. findings reveal significant trade-offs performance distinctions, providing practical guidance for selecting suited specific applications. work advances field enhancing algorithmic understanding, refining methodologies, offering valuable insights into relative efficiency strategies multi-agent competitive environments.
