All biological products obtained from forests other than timber are considered non-timber forest (NTFPs). NTFPs production levels in Ghana affected by climate change. Over the past years, have adversely prolonged droughts and short rainfall Ghana. In rural areas, where NTFP enhance livelihoods for dwellers, this affects their food security. This study aimed to determine how dwellers perceive impact of annual variability temperature on products. To better understand residents change's effect NTFPs, 732 were interviewed. Household information perceptions regarding changes availability (snails, mushrooms, honey, etc.) recorded using structured semi-structured questionnaires. As a result sharp rise decline rainfall, combined with drought, there has been NTFPS areas country. The respondents reported snails, as well income generated. In developing countries, studies on sustainable preservation of forests (including non-timber forest products NTFPs) have been poorly carried out for promoting alternative income generating activities (IGA) to alleviate pressure praised resources by local communities living close protected areas. This study aimed at (1) inventorying NTFPs exploited around the Kahuzi Biega National Park (KBNP), (2) assessing their therapeutic values and nutritional contributions, (3) analyzing rural urban market determine potential as sources well major constraints in exploitation. Individual interviews were conducted with 790 households Kabare, Walungu, Kalehe, Bukavu City, eastern Democratic Republic Congo (DRC) coupled focus group discussions key stakeholders KBNP. Considering the notion that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”, effective exploitation of economic value forest resources is an important research topic, especially in forest-rich areas. The development non-timber products (NTFPs) industry has promoted both ecological benefits effectively improved farmers’ incomes while protecting resources. In order to evaluate effects NTFPs on sustaining livelihoods environments, we constructed a performance evaluation index system determine poverty alleviation Yunnan Province using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which covered three aspects: achievement alleviation, sustainability satisfaction with alleviation. Income shares from NTFPs generally highest among poor communities households, consequently, their use has at times been described as a poverty trap. However, there only handful works that have directly examined the existence traps in relation to NTFPs, none concluded existed specific contexts. Agroforestry, which integrates trees and shrubs into agricultural systems, presents significant environmental economic advantages. This chapter explores its current state future in temperate boreal regions, each with unique climates challenges. In areas, practices like alley cropping, silvopasture, windbreaks enhance soil health, reduce erosion, boost biodiversity, while also providing ecological services such as carbon sequestration wildlife habitats. Boreal agroforestry adapts to harsh shelterbelts reforestation, focusing on cold-resistant species improve fertility manage snow cover. Challenges include high initial investment maintenance costs limited options due extreme cold areas. Ongoing research technological advancements promise address these challenges, innovations selection policy support expected the sustainability productivity of benefiting both conservation agriculture.
