Abstract The escalating demands from legislative authorities and stakeholders for companies to adopt corporate sustainability measures underscore the growing importance of strategic management. Despite efforts made by in this domain, management family businesses remains an under-researched area. To address gap, we conducted a systematic literature review covering period 2006 2022, on topic businesses. Our investigation encompasses content analysis 98 relevant studies. research question is: “What aspects are taken into account their strategies?” We tackle issue through methodological triangulation qualitative quantitative methods. results yield three clusters strategies businesses: (1) Family values succession planning; Stakeholder relations communication; (2) Risk taking, Inventions, Technologies; (3) Entrepreneurship Intrapreneurship. In addition, systematically present range descriptive indicators, including methodologies applied geographic focus published literature. This contributes significant insights scholars practitioners alike, providing valuable guidance field. Moreover, our study paves way further investigations that influence within context By shedding light critical area, aim foster more sustainable informed approach practices among family-owned enterprises.

Purpose Small businesses are facing evolving environments, with a resulting need to shift their traditional approaches toward new business models (BMs). Many face difficulties within this transition process due specific resource constraints. Based on this, incremental changes the BM – model (BMT) proposed as comprising suitable framework for entrepreneurial small businesses. Design/methodology/approach This study conducts systematic literature review (SLR) cover broad range of relevant final sample 89 articles. The SLR method was chosen integrate research in systematic, transparent and reproducible way. For qualitative analysis derivation, draws thematic ontological analysis. This study investigates women entrepreneurs' multifaceted challenges and opportunities in Lebanon, using the Demand-Constraint-Choice (DCC) framework to analyze their drivers, motivations, challenges. Through a qualitative research approach, adopted semi-structured interviews with twelve female entrepreneurs from various sectors Lebanon. These aimed gain insights into entrepreneurial drive, challenges, leadership roles, decision-making processes within local ecosystem. Despite significant socio-economic hurdles, including restricted access financial resources, prevalent gender biases, cultural stereotypes, findings reveal that Lebanese are highly resilient adaptable. They strategically utilize social networks innovate means navigate prosper challenging landscape. The highlights these women's skills include coping demands constraints making difficult choices. further identifies critical such as inadequate support, societal biases against women, difficulties imposed by Lebanon's economic environment. In response proposes several policy recommendations enhance support for entrepreneurs. increasing establishing robust networks, implementing gender-sensitive policies facilitate more conducive environment entrepreneurship. Although succession planning benefits workforce development, rural economic stability, and the sustainability of a farm, few farmers in Canada have written plan. As farming population ages fewer people enter profession, understanding what promotes to prepare plans is essential. Our study aimed understand (a) priorities farm operators for developing plan, (b) factors that delay or motivate planning, (c) resources would be helpful creating Using dyadic multiple case methodology, we interviewed 35 participants from 16 farms Alberta, Canada. The thematic analysis revealed seven themes influencing decisions develop plan: legacy identity, physical health, government policies, growth, professional guidance expertise, family dynamics, culture norms. From themes, two overarching variables—risk perception self-efficacy—shaped farmers’ readiness informed development Farm Succession Readiness Framework. This framework categorizes into four types: Active Planners, Avoiders, Back Burners, End-of-the-Line Farmers. complex multifaceted, our findings may assist advisors, policymakers, researchers tailoring interventions meet their needs.

Purpose This study explores the relationship between copreneurship, a unique type of start-up established by cohabiting couples and innovation risk propensity. There is growing debate in research regarding whether copreneurships differ from other types start-ups they lead towards risky behaviours context firm-level strategic decisions. Building on upper echelons theory household decision-making theory, this attempts to uncover how copreneurs’ propensity affects corporate successful enterprises. Design/methodology/approach Information firms co-founded was manually collected prospectuses Growth Enterprise Market (GEM)-listed family China. Data 306 listed 2009 2018 zero-inflated Poisson regression were used test theoretical model. An instrumental variable approach address endogeneity, score matching applied for robustness testing. Findings The results indicate that engage more breakthrough activities than after achieving entrepreneurial success (i.e. successfully completing an initial public offering [IPO]). affected characteristics copreneurs at three levels, namely individual, firm: educational background (master’s business administration [MBA] education experience), negotiations (copreneurs’ age difference) firm autonomy duality), respectively. evidence shows MBA duality within increase number innovations, whereas difference has no significant influence. The current study aims to determine the meaning and role of legacy in development family businesses from perspective multigenerational businesses. Employing Thematic Analysis (TA) Gioia methodology, transcript in-depth interviews with representatives five businesses, different industries (military products wine, banking jewelry) were analyzed checked against literature. findings show that is a complex process evolves not only its core elements, but as part business involvement society.
