Abstract The escalating demands from legislative authorities and stakeholders for companies to adopt corporate sustainability measures underscore the growing importance of strategic management. Despite efforts made by in this domain, management family businesses remains an under-researched area. To address gap, we conducted a systematic literature review covering period 2006 2022, on topic businesses. Our investigation encompasses content analysis 98 relevant studies. research question is: “What aspects are taken into account their strategies?” We tackle issue through methodological triangulation qualitative quantitative methods. results yield three clusters strategies businesses: (1) Family values succession planning; Stakeholder relations communication; (2) Risk taking, Inventions, Technologies; (3) Entrepreneurship Intrapreneurship. In addition, systematically present range descriptive indicators, including methodologies applied geographic focus published literature. This contributes significant insights scholars practitioners alike, providing valuable guidance field. Moreover, our study paves way further investigations that influence within context By shedding light critical area, aim foster more sustainable informed approach practices among family-owned enterprises.

Purpose Micro and small businesses are run by entrepreneurs who have established businesses. However, conflicts often arose when transitioning these to the next generations. This had been a challenge for most family-run companies. The succession of business without conflict generation healthy sustenance continuance during transition period significant issue be addressed. Therefore, this study aims explore challenges strategies associated with family in technology-dominant sectors. Design/methodology/approach authors empirically investigated phenomenon three-circle model (TCM) three spiral theory (TST). conducted Focus Group Discussion founders second generation. In total, 22 were part focused group discussion (FGD), while 26 s-generation potential inheritors also FGD. Two FGDs comprises only founders, two separately. addition, consisting inheritors. data was content analyzed themes using NVIVO. Findings revealed that successful generational technology-based required inheritance both acumen technical skills. A key balance ownership within family. Clear governance structures role boundaries essential minimize conflicts. maintaining core values adapting technological changes found crucial. Strategies address dilution, professional mentoring regulatory compliance emerged as important drivers sustainable succession. Abstract The continuous challenges to which family firms are subjected have led research in this field focus on various aspects, thus generating a large and heterogeneous body of literature. This paper describes the evolution, status, trends business literature over decade 2012–2022 also identifies gaps that may require further investigation. In regard, new opportunities for additional analyses determined. To end, bibliometric study has been carried out based collection articles from Business Source Premier, Web Science, Scopus databases, yielding total 4064 articles. Purpose The research aims to explore the relationships between digital capabilities of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), their participation in global value chains adoption innovative business models. Additionally, study investigates how prior experiences entrepreneurial failure may influence or moderate these relationships.
