Atopic
dermatitis
(AD)
is
a
chronic
inflammatory
skin
disorder
characterized
by
disrupted
epidermal
barrier,
immune
dysregulation,
and
genetic
predisposition.
Affecting
individuals
across
all
age
groups,
AD
presents
with
recurrent
flare-ups
varying
clinical
patterns
depending
on
age.
The
pathophysiology
involves
key
elements
such
as
loss-of-function
mutations
in
the
filaggrin
(FLG)
gene,
overproduction
of
cytokines
like
IL-4
IL-13,
colonization
Staphylococcus
aureus.
Management
strategies
include
patient
education,
topical
therapies
(e.g.,
corticosteroids,
calcineurin
inhibitors,
crisaborole,
tapinarof),
systemic
treatments
dupilumab
methotrexate,
phototherapy
for
refractory
cases.
Preventive
measures,
including
breastfeeding
probiotic
supplementation,
offer
limited
benefits,
emphasizing
need
individualized
approaches.
Innovative
further
research
into
pathogenesis
hold
promise
more
effective
disease
control
improved
quality
life
patients.

Introduction.
Alopecia
areata
(AA)
associated
with
atopic
diseases
(AD)
is
characterized
by
specific
clinical,
epidemiological,
and
immunological
features,
allowing
the
identification
of
an
“atopic
type”
AA.
Currently,
certain
treatment
methods
may
be
effective
for
both
AA
AD.
Aim.
To
analyze
current
options
“atopic”
based
on
literature
clinical
experience.
Materials
methods.
Review
publications
concerning
connection
between
atopy
methods;
assessment
laboratory
data
outcomes
patients
Results.
Seventy-eight
were
analyzed,
two
cases
described.
In
first
case,
a
patient
receiving
dupilumab
showed
positive
effects
universal
AA,
dermatitis
(AtD),
bronchial
asthma.
The
second
AtD
subtotal
achieved
partial
remission
through
combined
therapy,
including
UVB
311
nm
antihistamines.
Specific
comorbid
AD
identified.
Notably,
phototherapy
used
aid
in
hair
restoration;
antihistamines
symptoms
are
potentially
particularly
during
active
stage.
For
systemic
therapy
needs
AtD,
oral
JAK
inhibitors
–
baricitinib,
upadacitinib,
abrocitinib
should
considered.
Dupilumab
choice
severe
respiratory
allergies,
younger
pediatric
patients.
Conclusions.

These
natural
agents
fewer
side
effects

compliance
compared
with
therapies,
making
them
attractive
candidates
long-term
management.
