ABSTRACT Introduction: This study delved into the responses generated by ChatGPT-4 (artificial intelligence-language model) regarding queries on sexually transmitted urethritis in men and investigated impact of “knowledge conversing with a urologist” accuracy its responses. Methods: A total 272 questions from “sexually infections treatment guidelines” (US Centers for Disease Control Prevention) were prepared urology specialist arranged to cover various levels difficulty. The presented formats multiple-choice true/false. Two groups created: In Group 1, was only provided questions, whereas 2, it explicitly stated that engaging conversation specialist. ChatGPT-4’s evaluated. Results: rate 81% (94/116), 77.5% (90/116). Subgroup A, which consisted had rates (45/58) 1 74.1% (43/58) 2. B, included true/false 84.4% (49/58) (47/58) mean score higher completeness Conclusions: Providing information urologist did not enhance men. consistently high observed demonstrates this system can be reliably used as question-and-answer tool.

Introduction The aim of this study was to perform an evaluation patient experiences and perceptions regarding kidney stone surgery on the social media platform TikTok. An increasing number public use (SoMe) as a share their views related surgical treatment. Methods Using hashtag #kidneystonesurgery, 100 most recent video posts 01.01.2024 TikTok were included. As well demographic data such gender location, thematic content also collected. To achieve this, previously published framework used adapted for application in setting surgery. This piloted 20 sample videos assess its feasibility before revision establishment final framework. included following key areas: Pain, Complications, Anxiety, Recovery, Return work, Finances, Treatment delays, Diet Prevention stent complaints. Results majority (95%) from North America, 80% by females mean 92,826 (range: 261–2,000,000). 76% discussed ureteroscopy (URS). 49% filmed at hospital, which named 9% videos. Top three topics were: Recovery (65%), pain (62%) stents (55%). followed anxiety (39%) complications (24%). 12% these uploaded lay people basic medical information that wholly incorrect. More than half (51%) negative tone. delays (5%) lack sufficient preoperative (4%) raised, appeared contribute reports. However, main cause tone owed patients ( n = 44) who focused suffered post operative stent. Conclusion There is high level usership engagement subject proportion much bothersome symptoms complications. could easily lead misperceptions among potential about true burden adverse events.

Abstract Introduction ChatGPT (generative pre‐trained transformer [GPT]), developed by OpenAI, is a type of generative artificial intelligence (AI) that has been widely utilised since its public release. It orchestrates an advanced conversational intelligence, producing sophisticated responses to questions. successfully demonstrated across several applications in healthcare, including patient management, academic research and clinical trials. We aim evaluate the different ways urology more broadly surgery. Methods conducted literature search PubMed Embase electronic databases for purpose writing narrative review identified relevant articles on surgery from years 2000 2023. A PRISMA flow chart was created highlight article selection process. The terms ‘ChatGPT’ ‘surgery’ were intentionally kept broad given nascency field. Studies unrelated these excluded. Duplicates removed. Results Multiple papers have published about novel uses surgery, ranging assisting administrative tasks answering frequently asked questions, surgical consent, operation reports, discharge summaries, grants, journal drafts, reviewing medical education. AI machine learning also extensively researched with respect diagnosis predicting outcomes. There are limitations software hallucination, bias, out‐of‐date information confidentiality. Conclusion potential related models vast, heralding beginning new era where may eventually become integrated seamlessly into practice. Concerns this technology must not be disregarded urge hasten progression, risks impacting patients' interests considered. Appropriate regulation governance will key optimising benefits addressing intricate challenges healthcare delivery equity.

Abstract Informed consent is a cornerstone of ethically acceptable surgical interventions. Traditional methods primarily rely on verbal explanations by clinicians and, at times, the use supplementary resources such as information leaflets. In modern era, novel tools have emerged to facilitate and enhance process. Examples include multimedia, 3D models, virtual augmented reality, quick response codes, artificial intelligence technologies large language models. This narrative review provides an overview these aids, discussing their potential advantages limitations. addition, influence social media process explored.
