Abstract This present work deals with improving the WEDM machining performance through soft computing techniques. In this study, a new strategy was implemented on NiTi-SMA (Nitinol-SMA) using ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) and PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) in wire-EDM (electrical discharge machining). The findings recommended optimal operating settings to maximize dimensional accuracy minimize both processing time cost. Titanium alloys present challenges in terms of lubrication due to their difficult-to-machine nature, which necessitates the development sustainable and environmentally friendly lubricants. Water-based lubricants are commonly used for titanium because effective cooling properties, despite encountering such as poor performance complex mechanisms. This study first demonstrates that polyacrylamide (PAM) is an excellent water-based lubricant additive Ti6Al4V (TC4)/GCr15 interface.
