Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive condition marked by persistent damage, leading to high mortality rates and economic burden in advanced stages. Ozone therapy has emerged as complementary alternative capable of mitigating oxidative stress involved CKD progression. Ozonated saline solution (OSS) prepared via microbubbling offers enhanced efficacy due greater ozone dissolution, homogeneity, stability compared conventional methods. This study the biosafety OSS through bubbling methods patients. In vitro, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) concentrations were measured at various doses times for both healthy volunteer, was assessed using TMRE Annexin V leukocytes. patients, TMRE, V, redox markers (catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione system, H2O2, lipoperoxidation), renal function (urea, creatinine, glomerular filtration rate) evaluated. Microbubbling produced lower H2O2 depending on time dose. vivo, increased mitochondrial activity apoptosis patient However, notably antioxidant capacity, catalase dismutase activity, balance (elevated reduced-to-oxidized ratio) bubbling. It also showed slight improvements serum clinical parameters. conclusion, method demonstrated superior therapeutic highlighting its potential preferred approach therapy.
