Abstract Background Granulation tissue is routinely discarded in periodontal surgical procedures, but few studies have characterized it. The present study aimed to compare global gene expression granulation derived from different types of osseous defects. Methods Total RNA was isolated harvested during routine procedures. Nineteen sites were analyzed—seven infrabony, six suprabony, and furcation Following quality control checks, samples underwent bulk mRNA sequencing (20–30 million read pairs per sample) before bioinformatic analyses utilizing ontology associated pathway/enrichment analyses. Results No statistically significant differentially expressed genes (DEG) detected between defect types. An increase the 11 with a false discovery rate <0.05 when comparison made terms healing duration post nonsurgical therapy (NSPT). Notably, involved included those regulating collagen synthesis osteogenic activity. Analysis based on sex differences revealed 38 DEG. Gene enrichment analysis that 24 DEG without Y‐linked attachment are mostly immune regulation. Conclusions Routinely exhibits epithelial characteristics due substantial period maturation NSPT. Confirmation ongoing beyond traditional re‐evaluation timepoints warrants further investigation differentiation potential. Introduction: The relationship between periodontal disease, obesity and diabetes is crucial because of their mutual negative impact. Periodontitis worsens glycemic control in diabetics increases the risk developing diabetes. Obesity, turn, susceptibility to disease. Objective: To analyze literature on association diabetes, mainly its diagnosis, prevention treatment.Methodology: A search articles published last 5 years was carried out using PubMed, Scopus Google Scholar databases. implemented Boolean operators AND, OR, NOT. Keywords used for included: "periodontal disease", "obesity", "diabetes", "diagnosis", "prevention", "treatment".Results: Early accurate diagnosis essential proper patient health management. Periodontal examination, HbA1c measurement waist circumference index assessment are tools identify individuals at these conditions take preventive measures or initiate timely treatment. Treatment disease people with requires a comprehensive approach that includes control, healthy diet, regular physical activity, oral hygiene dental visits. Implementing strategies can improve health, reduce systemic inflammation decrease complications associated chronic diseases. Conclusions: interconnected. key preventing managing diseases. Lifestyle changes, medical care essential. Improving reduces inflammation, complications.

BACKGROUND: Recently, more and evidence has emerged indicating that mitochondrial dysfunction plays an important role in the development progression of inflammatory diseases oral cavity such as periodontitis, pulpitis. AIM: To evaluate structural functional disorders mitochondria periodontal tissues experimental model periodontitis laboratory rats. METHODS: Male white Wistar rats weighing 221 ± 7.5 g at age 4 months were used this work. The animals divided by simple randomization into two groups, 10 each: group 1 – intact (control group); Group 2 with simulated periodontitis. Experimental was modeled using ligature method sewing a polyfilament non-absorbable thread gum area mandibular incisors. adequacy reproduced animal assessed histological analyses. following molecular genetics biochemical parameters assessed: damage to nuclear DNA (nDNA) (mtDNA), copy number degree heteroplasmy mtDNA, expression genes, well levels hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), reduced glutathione (GSH) malondialdehyde (MDA). RESULTS: work shows resulting changes tissue identified, which indicated formation animals. results analyzes showed on 14th day after application ligature, increased level mtDNA recorded tissue, compared control group. In these same animals, decrease genes involved ATP synthesis observed. At time, GSH while H2O2 MDA CONCLUSIONS: Structural revealed Thus, new strategies for assessing function may help diagnosis treatment disease, its complications.
