Transcriptome analysis of granulation tissue from periodontal osseous defects

Abstract
Background
Granulation
tissue
is
routinely
discarded
in
periodontal
surgical
procedures,
but
few
studies
have
characterized
it.
The
present
study
aimed
to
compare
global
gene
expression
granulation
derived
from
different
types
of
osseous
defects.
Methods
Total
RNA
was
isolated
harvested
during
routine
procedures.
Nineteen
sites
were
analyzed—seven
infrabony,
six
suprabony,
and
furcation

sequencing

per

BACKGROUND:
