Abstract Pakistan’s energy consumption has significantly increased over the past three decades due to industrialization, population growth, and development activities. Pakistan initiated short-term energy-oriented plans by establishing thermal power projects meet growing demands. However, these are more costly in terms of financial outlays environmental harms than hydropower projects. Consequently, is vulnerable global oil price fluctuations damage. To address this dilemma, empirical research examines impact non-energy factors (labour capital) energy-specific (renewable non-renewable) on aggregate output considering annual data from 1980 2021. The analysis employs newly established Residual Augmented Least Square (RALS) cointegration test Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) methodology estimate long-term cointegrating connection among variables. findings demonstrate that positively output, except for petroleum (insignificant). study suggests a diversified energy-supply mix explicitly characterized hydroelectricity, non-hydroelectric renewables (mainly solar wind), natural gas. Furthermore, encouraging private sector participation renewable initiatives implementing effective carbon tax policies mitigate CO2emissions improve economic growth.JEL Classification:D24, O47, Q42, Q43, Q48, Q54

Abstract Ecological footprint (EFP) measures the amount of area, that is land or sea, which required to absorb waste generated through human activities support production resources consumed by populations. EFP index therefore includes six dimensions are cropland, forestland, carbon, fishing grounds, grazing land, and built-up area. Human have impacted environment, leading global warming, widespread droughts, diseases. The present study aims investigate role renewable energy (RE) efficiency on index. Past researchers widely used carbon emission (CE) represent environmental impact, recent studies shown a better proxy degradation. Therefore, research differs from past in it compares how determinants degradation affects CE. Panel dataset OECD countries 1990 2020 employed. CS-ARDL, DCCEMG, AMG techniques, overcome dynamics, heterogeneity, cross-sectional dependence, main findings depict RE significantly reduces CE, while economic growth exacerbates them. Energy but does not affect EFP. Non-renewable & development increase an insignificant positive effect observed with This paper shows factors influence CE may always Thus, reduce fundamental understand each dimension influenced.

Energy poverty is a new issue in the world and developing nations are no exception. The West African exhibit serious problems on accessibility affordability of energy rural areas urban areas. major concern conventional fuels that they widely use as alternatives once faced with access problems. These damage surroundings deteriorate health systems people. Therefore, this study motivated addressing issues informing vigorous mechanisms essential solving crisis. lack studies robust policies to inform ways can be adopted lower region require contemporary presented. Thus, examines interplay green finance, income technology reducing nations. fourteen therefore examined their data for period 2004 2020 used. Data analysis methodologies ensure employment “method moments quantile regression” technique “cross-sectional dependence” “heterogeneity” overcome. Abstract Natural resources are vital given by nature and responsible for promoting a nation's economic development. However, with the existence of two opposing theories, it is essential to provide state‐of‐the‐art research that ascertains association between natural growth. The Rostow hypothesis presents importance in growth, while curse alludes resources, developing countries, reduce present uses contemporary Methods Moments Quantile Regression method explore on this relationship fifteen resources‐rich African countries. data used annual period 1990 2021. major results presented show rent significantly promotes growth region, supporting postulations Rostow's hypothesis. Abstract Natural resources are vital in alleviating the effects imposed by human activities on environment. For this reason, preservation and wise utilization of natural has been emphasized some laws toward ensuring that not wasted have put place. However, high rents sustaining. By following STIRPAT model, research seeks to assess role played rent, rule law, renewable energy damage caused environment activities. The present furthers growing body literature topic, which constitutes its primary contribution. To attain goal, dataset top 10 resource‐rich African countries, for time range 1990 2021 is used. dynamic Cross‐sectional Autoregressive Distributive Lag (CS‐ARDL) overcomes heterogeneity, cross‐sectional dependence (CD), dynamics used analysis model. Augmented Mean Group (AMG) Common Correlated Estimator (CCEMG) methods employed check robustness CS‐ARDL results. findings illustrate economic growth, intensity promote environmental damage, while (RE) law lessen it. This advocates reduction stabilization extensive use RE, improvements alleviate damage.
