Background: Ameloblastic carcinoma (AC) is a rare malignant odontogenic tumor with limited knowledge surrounding its pathogenesis, molecular pathways, clinical behavior, treatment, and prognosis. This 40-year literature scoping review aims to enhance the comprehension of this complex condition, looking closely at how AC works pathophysiological levels what causes it develop. Methods: The PUBMED, Medline, Scopus, Cochrane central databases were searched, including articles from 1984 date. Articles reporting epidemiological, clinical, instrumental, histopathological data included. Results: Out 375 examined, 52 met inclusion criteria, yielding total 80 cases AC. All before excluded analysis, as all that did not provide information on patient survival. Several mechanisms associated development progression identified; these help in early diagnosis. Moreover, can spread locally, making radical surgical approach necessary. There still no agreement manage neck dissection. Surgical removal followed by monitoring an important part managing Conclusions: Advancements biological insights have potential facilitate earlier diagnosis treatment. These could lead improvements patients’ quality life long-term

Abstract Purpose This study aimed to investigate the role of DNA ploidy and proliferation index in distinguishing ameloblastoma (AB) from ameloblastic carcinoma (AC). Methods The included 29 ACs, 6 conventional ABs that transformed into a control cohort 20 ABs. demographics clinicopathologic details cases were summarised compared. Ki-67 was scored using QuPath open-source software platform. analysis performed high-resolution flow cytometry. Results presented at an overall younger age compared both primary secondary ACs. There statistically significant difference between median duration tumour when comparing with ACs presenting longer durations than AB cohort. All AC showed relatively high 41.7%, higher scores all diploid. Two diploid aneuploid corresponding analysed. Fourteen 12 aneuploid, no association found status A noted When score their status, noted. Conclusion via IHC are useful ancillary tests may be used support diagnosis assist challenging AC.
