Youth mental health is a global priority due to its increasing prevalence and adverse outcomes. Although the relationship between metacognitions anxiety well-documented in adults, further research needed for younger populations. This examines two questions: (a) What correlation cognitive self-consciousness children adolescents? (b) Is this moderated by cultural socioeconomic differences? Based on 22 effect sizes from 8,459 participants 11 countries, meta-analysis was performed find overall size, heterogeneity, publication bias, moderating of Hofstede’s four dimensions United Nation Development Programme’s (UNDP) Human Index (HDI). Using random-effects model, results revealed that ( r = .312, p < .0001, 95% confidence interval: [.257, .365]) showing moderate size association with adolescents. Meta-regressions indicated power distance, masculinity, HDI were important moderators. Today’s adolescents will inevitably face the negative effects of climate change and need to engage in pro-environmental behaviors (PEBs) as part solutions. The primary objective this scoping review was identify individual, peer family, school community predictors PEB adolescence. secondary objectives were highlight main types PEBs, conceptual frameworks examined adolescence, research gaps mentioned prior studies. A bibliographic search on multiple databases conducted. Among 2578 records identified, 209 retrieved assessed for eligibility, 62 met inclusion criteria (i.e., peer-reviewed articles published English last ten years with adolescent data). Results reveal a heterogeneous set correlates an imbalance favoring individual correlates. most frequent PEBs reviewed studies linked energy water conservation. theoretical Theory Planned Behavior Value–Belief–Norm Theory, while frequently highlighted gap use cross-sectional designs. These results can inform targets interventions aimed at increasing which are fundamental aspects psychology sustainability sustainable development.

Abstract Younger generations are receiving their first regular digital device access at progressively earlier ages than previous on average, whereas disparities in early still being observed globally. The inequality of may have profound long-term effects one’s information and communication technology (ICT) skills, but no evidence has suggested how unequal impacts reading, which enables one to process comprehend this digitized world. Thus, the current study investigated relationship between age children regularly devices reading performance 15 while considering potential mediating effect cognitive flexibility. A multilevel mediation model was proposed tested using data from a cross-national sample 156,277 15-year-old students 18 OECD countries Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). results that after 9 exerted negative influence scores generally had high levels access, 13 lower access. Additionally, flexibility mediated association accessing performance.
