The practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries is still limited by the lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) shuttling effect on S cathode and uncontrollable Li-dendrite growth Li anode. Herein, elaborately designed WSe2 flakelets immobilized N-doped graphene (WSe2 /NG) with abundant active sites are employed to be a dual-functional host for satisfying both anode synchronously. On cathode, /NG strong interaction towards LiPSs can act as redox accelerator promote bidirectional conversion LiPSs. anode, excellent lithiophilic features regulate uniform plating/stripping mitigate dendrite. Taking advantage these merits, assembled Li-S full exhibit remarkable rate performance stable cycling stability even at higher sulfur loading 10.5 mg cm-2 negative positive electrode capacity (N/P) ratio 1.4 : 1.

Transition-metal carbides and nitrides (MXenes) have attracted significant interest owing to their desirable properties, abundance, high electrocatalytic activity. Tremendous studies demonstrated the potential of MXenes for energy conversion storage. However, further development this must address various aspects MXenes, including finite modification strategies, undefined reaction mechanisms, working life cycle, additional untapped applications. In Focus Review, we summarize most recent progress in applications general guidelines rational design MXene structures. Smart response hydrogel has a broad application prospect in human health real-time monitoring due to its responses variety of stimuli. In this study, we developed novel smart dressing based on conductive MXene nanosheets and temperature-sensitive PNIPAm polymer. γ-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH570) was selected functionalize the surface further improve interface compatibility between PNIPAm. Our prepared K-M/PNIPAm found have strain-sensitive property, as well respond NIR phase change volume change. When applied strain flexible sensor, exhibited high sensitivity with gauge factor (GF) 4.491, working range ≈250%, fast ∼160 ms, good cycle stability (i.e., 3000 s at 20% strain). Besides, can be used an efficient light-controlled drug release carrier achieve on-demand release. This work paved way for NIR-controlled functions.
